I think I used to get that same list of watches for sale. Was it from some jeweler in  Texas? I bought a couple of watches from them in the early 90's

What model submariner? Is it an aluminum insert or ceramic? If the insert was glued in before, then that is probably your best option again.

I've had some of those misses too, but none as bad as missing out on a Milsub!
