This really is good news for all concerned. As yet I haven't received anything back from J but I'm now keeping my fingers well and truly crossed !

Of all the reps I own and have owned, this is definately my favourite, so much so that I now have a modded rep (gen dial and hands and a 2221.80 gen ! Great review with some really good photos - Well done and Thanks !!

Here's a picture of the pearl on the bezel I got. Hopefully the new one the guy sends me will be more accurate. This looks awful. Not only is the pearl too big and not positioned correctly, it is white and doesn't even glow. It looks like a drop of milk.
That's really crap !! I've just ordered one, I hope the one they send me is better than that or it'll be going straight back !!

Anyone here received it? I'm still waiting for mine (since early stone-age, it seems)...
I have been asking Silix for one for the last couple of months - I've now given up waiting !!

Presented without commentary.
'Nuff said !!

Welcome Dacco ! Nice to have you aboard

My God Fred, that avatar....I'll be right back, I need some milk....
I have just changed my avatar from a firefighter stood in front of some big flames to a pair of "Eartha Kitts" and all of a sudden I'm being complimented on my avatar !!

Anybody want to buy a Tag Link Chrono, brand new, never worn, WITHOUT the wach head - bracelet only !!
-
thanx alot guys!
@fireman fred- very pretty breasts.
Luvverly Jubbly !!

Fantastic choice of gen! I prefer the 42mm, it's more "wearable" and IMHO the Omega is a nicer looking watch than the Rolex !!

Delboy, you're absolutely right, we work all our lives to support our families and make a decent life for ourselves but there are scum out there who think they can TAKE whatever they want and they don't care about the misery it causes.
I hope you and your kids can get over this traumatic ordeal. As we say in England: "Don't let the bastards grind you down" !!
-
Yeah, very nice... but just think how many reps you could buy if you sold it !!
-
I'm seriously thinking about getting this one as I have the original blue dialled chrono. It's such a shame that once again they have built one fatal flaw into an otherwise fantastic rep, namely, the word "OMEGA" on the dial (which should be crossed though the middle and NOT the bottom!!). I wonder if they'll release a V2, like they did with the Skyland !!
BTW Lani, how are the "waves" on the dial?

He emailed me yesterday, said he is in catch up mode after being away. I think he will come good, sometimes life gets in the way.....
At least I hope so
That's probably the first (and best!) glimmer of hope we have had in a long while. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Jakub comes good.

Awesome Review, Well Done and Thanks - very informative (with excellent pics!)

A 34mm Seamaster Is it auto or manual? Likely caliber 268 if manual, or cal. 491 if auto. I have a Seamaster with a 268 in it and it keeps great time, and is one of my favorite watches! Enjoy it, very timeless.
It's a 1962 Seamaster with a 522 calibre automatic movement.

That's a nice looking watch - worth looking after!
I recently bought this little beaut off Ebay:

I'm sure the rubber or leather would be much lighter. I've been thinking about the gen
leather strap for my Tag Grand Carrera which is quite a monster too. It costs about $350!!
I recently put a PAM leather strap on my TT BCE and it looks great.
Some of the dealers sell the rep Brietling diver's strap which looks great on the Steelfish. Here's mine on a Di Modell leather strap:
-
For some reason i was reluctant to get one of these even though
i know its one of the best reps. I just got this blue one, the AR is really nice.
I have to say the watch is a beauty, just as they said, but abit heavy for my taste.
I also own the blue dialed version and think it's a great looking watch. It's a bit of an oddity in that its looks bely it's weight (ie it looks smaller than it is !!). You can reduce its weight and make it more wearable by putting a rubber or leather strap on it - you'll be surprised at the difference !

I'm still finding this whole episode hard to believe as my dealing with Jacob was very professional and he came across as a great guy.
Looks like he fooled us all and played it very cool right to the end and I'm really feeling for everyone that has their watches with him..And there is a lot of watches.
I'm hoping for a happy outcome for everyone now that sql_pl has made contact with his family..Hopefully his mother will smack him around the ears and knock some sense into him.
I agree totally, we've all been duped! I have had 4 crystals A/Red by J since he first started offering his service, not all at the same time but one every few months. He came across as a thoroughly decent guy and I believe, was even offering his services free to those that upgraded on RWG. I think he even "donated" a couple of free A/R crystals to the board to raise funds. His emails were always prompt and he kept me regularly informed.
Then the emails got slower... and slower.............and slower..................................
I think he may have been a victim of his own success. There was never any doubt as to the quality of his service - I still marvel at the quality of the AR on my reps that I got back from him
I have lost a $250 watch but I only sent the watch head, not the bracelet. Many people sent him crystals. I wonder what the black market value of these "odds 'n' ends" actually is and who is he going to sell them to?
It's all very odd...

Is there a stool chart for my town as I don't live in (or near) Bristol !
-
If you want to find out which watch goes with which bracelet, I suggest you do a little research - a good start would be the official Omega website:
-
I think we have thrashed this one to death !! - The correct terminology/abbreviation is SOSF.
...now can we move on ......
Is Jakub away?
