  1. I'd agree. Looking at the timings, if it was simply an error and it was at Coventry all along you would have recieved it by now. I feel your pain - you'll get the watch eventually, but I know how frustrating it is when you hanging on every delivery from the postman. All good things come to those who wait....
  2. I've bought two or three watches from Ufanta and think he's great. Very good prices and delivery from HK to London in 4-5 days. I'd highly recommend him for sub $100 reps. Grab a B&R Tourbillon - you won't be disappointed.
  3. What % of our dealers sales come through the top 3 forums? Maybe 70-80%, maybe more. Why don't they consult us on what we'd all buy a little more, spend a little bit more time getting it nearer the gens (surely knowing how anal we all are) and subsequently earn more money as a result of us buying. Going to be a fair few of these going cheap in about 3 or 4 months I think, as with these errors I'm not sure whose going to pull the trigger at that price. I'm going to call this one the Hublot No.2 as that's what I think of it.....all black now please.
  4. I don't have the chrono version, but i'm confident that this is what you need to do. Remove the screw in the back, the stem release button is behind it. Carefully remove the stem. Then unscrew the four screws on the front and remove the top. The dial and mechanism will now come easily out of the front of the case. The battery should be obvious on the mechanism and can be replaced. Then simply reverse the process. However.....my advice if you're not confident to do this, is take it to a rep-friendly watchsmith, tell him how to release the stem (mine couldn't work it out and he's been in the game for 35 years) and let him do it for you. Hope that helps.
  5. I know this is a question which should be in the newbie corner, but I have searched and all I can find it how to change them and people saying you should change them. Someone put me out of my misery....why? I have a CD on the way and wondered what the issues are. Thanks Tom.
  6. Is there no way of putting the bracelet from the slevin or the yellow aquatimer onto the CD's?
  7. 19% is what the Value Added Tax is in Germany. It the third highest in Europe - he's not invented it.
  8. He's a highly respected member here and I can't see any evidence at all in your claims. Also I hardly think this is the correct way of doing things if you insist on making an issue out of it, which is your right. I'd be very very interested to see what Touby's got to say about this as it's essentially slander and deformation of character. I think he'd have every right to sue this guy if he wanted, for those things and potential loss of business arising from baseless claims. I'm no lawyer, but it seems pretty clear. I would retract immediatley and think twice before you post these kind of things - or show us some concrete evidence. I don't think you'll be able to.
  9. This guy really grinds my gears. I'm sure I'm right in thinking that the gen CD box isn't white, and nobody's going to sell a gen CD at this price. I'm going to report the swine. 130219784460
  10. Obviously it would be amazing to put a swiss 7750 in the watch, and that is something I may consider, but what other mods has anyone done to this already great watch?
  11. Sorry mate - didn't mean anything by it. I just wanted to let people know that there was no chance of finding anymore new ones. They're obviously still very popular and I think people would pay a lot more than you were selling them for...I know I would. I've never been one for writing anyway
  12. I've just found out that the guy on ebay was in fact Homer. He had 500 made and has sold them all, but is not getting anymore made as they don't make enough profit to make it worth his while. Are there 499 other members out there that want to get another batch knocked up? I think these boxes are great. Would you believe that one of these just sold on Ebay for over $500. Homer used to sell them for $120!!
  13. That is interesting. It looks like the platinum version - I thought the tantalum was really dark. I'm also not sure I'd buy a genuine watch from indonesia. Something about that looks wrong to me.
  14. 230246112731 He wants over $600 for this. What do you experts think? Is this legit? I don't think so.
  15. Ajoesmith - you are probably correct. That mechanism has been at my watchsmiths for months so I couldn't remember. I think i'll go and get it and check that out. It's a real quandry that I suppose most of us have at some point. Do you a) buy another rep of the same version try and have the mechanism fixed at a greater cost than a new rep c) sell the case and all the bits, get a completely new rep and try and forget about the old one. Decisions decisions....
  16. One off our favourite dealers says it'll be available by the end of the year. I'm saving up now.
  17. They used to sell loads of them on Ebay. It's a very large pearwood box - and it takes 8 Panerai sized watches. I've already got three and need one more to house my collection, but they guy on the bay doesn't do them anymore and has not contact suppliers. Anyone know where they do them?
  18. Wasn't it Chris Rock that said "You might have pecs, but i've got Tec's"
  19. OMG. Still hate them. I actually thought they'd look a bit chunkier on the wrist. Tell me, if you pull the crown guard out how many seconds have you got before it expodes?
  20. Please please please hurry up and come out with the final Matt HBB - the Tantalum Matt. I've given up hope of them coming out with an all black HBB so this would be the nearest. Do you think they will? I think it looks great.
  21. Some of you must have bought one of the new Graham reps. I am dying to see a wristshot as I need cheering up Can anyone post a picture for us please? ps - every watch i've ever hated and made fun of i've ended up loving within a year.....
  22. I've just bought an asian 7750 from Ajoesmith which has the seconds at 9. I was going to use it for a PO Chrono which I have in pieces, but the 7750 in my PAM212 has died (my fault) and I need to have it repaired/serviced What is the process of transferring the 7750 with seconds at 9 into the PAM212 - there's obviously no date wheel or dial at 6. Is is just a case of snipping off the stem at 6 and removing the date wheel? Perhaps it would be easier to save this mechanism for another day and get the PAM212 specific one repaired? Is there anyone apart from The Zigmeister who can do this? I know he is taking some much needed time off for the next 3 months or so. So many questions....
  23. Thats what I suspected - thanks for the tip. I've got an H3 kit on it's way
  24. Just ordering one now. The Zigmeister - you'll get the 7750 parts in a box when i've completely mucked it up!!!
  25. I seem to remember seeing The Zigmeister posting a picture by picture tutorial of him stripping down and oiling a 7750. I've looked everywhere and I think Rob is incommunicado at the moment so just wondered if anyone else could help. There might be another one somewhere, but i've looked pretty hard Any help would be appreciated.
