  2. Hi sssurfer,

Hirsch straps are very good quality, the Liberty is for sure the most

waterproofed leather strap you will find

Problem with this strap is that the holes are too small for a pre-V buckle.

And in general you will have problems to fit a 4.5 -5 mm strap with a panerai deployant.

Hirsch is a german company and I´m sure you will find an online store within europe

that does not charge you with such a high shipping fee.

    Regards

  3. @sssurfer

    Thx for your response,

sadly there is NO small circle visible, it`s completely flat.

The backside is PVD coated as if there has never been a hole for the pin.

    @exper

It`s only loose when it`s open.

So tightening the screws on the CG will not resolve the problem.

The pin has to be removed, but where to press when you can`t see the pin?

    Regards

  4. Unfortunately the lever on my Davidsen PVD is also loose.

The problem is that you can only see the pin from the frontside.

Because of the PVD coating one can`t see the pin on the backside.

So my question is how to remove the pin without ruin the PVD coating?

    Do I need a special tool ?

Any advice and help is welcome.

    Thx

  5. Just to end all speculations, there are numerous versions/productions of the conquistador, some have the red paint beyond the arrow and some do not. Black or white, chrono or not.

Here are some genuine pics for everyone to compare:

But note that the ones with the extended red arrow are "arrow" in shape and the other ones are more "triangle" in shape. Hence the version that are sold by Jos/King/Aspire are the "correct" shape.

Here is a pic of a gen's case back for those that are interested. The engraving is a lot better than the rep imo. But I guess you can always lie and tell ppl that the engraving was "hand engraved"! =)

    Cheers.

Your last pic show a prototype of the new 8005SC without Serial

Lok at my pic of the genuine 8005SC caseback.

The engraving looks the same as on my King FM

  6. The new one is essentially perfect. I just paid for one to replace the genuine I had. It's so damn nice, noe there's a screw down crown, and the correct case size and a correct clasp to boot. This is probably going to be one of the 99% out of the box replicas. Maybe a sign of what's to come?

A genuine dial would be key to making this 100%, but I have a solution to the VC logo problem. ;)

Which one would you prefer in point of accuracy, the black or white dial ?

    Thx
