  1. All my gens have been "rep tested" first. When the watch has proven to have long term appeal, I purchase the gen version.

Then there are watches that I'm a "casual fan" of. Like the Rolex Submariner. WM9 is damn good. Who doesn't love the legendary Sub... but for me it's not a "grail watch" or anything so I'm happy with the super rep.

  2. I love the white/cream dial but how off is it from the gen?

It's not as different as blue but quite different in the flesh, really.

Gen is creamy as you said. Unfortunately the rep is pure white.

    Here's white gen. Beautiful watch.

But then again, Fish is not like Omega Moon Watch or Rolex Submariner. Not as common. So go with the dial color you like the best. White and blue reps are nice. Black is simply the most accurate.

  3. I'm actually considering a v2 Skyland on a bracelet (as soon as someone in EU wants to part with his) but I haven't seen many decent wristies. Most seem to wear it on rubber or leather... and that's not my thing.

I think I might even have wrists for this big thing.

So let's see the bracelet Skylands! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. @Hammy: The markers on that watch don't look bad to me at all. Maybe the lume dots are just "charged" in the photo. All rep SOSF lume dots are greenish (save the very first batches). But then again those were applied terribly.

That SOSF is actually pretty nice besides the completely lacking dial texture. But that's nothing new with blue dial version.

  5. Hey Red, merged these topics. There was an old one already. :)

Roger Waters' Amused to Death is one of my favorite albums. I like the In the Flesh live version too.

@chief: I'm a huge Genesis fan. But from "Collins era" I only like "And then there were three" and "Genesis"... the one that has Home By The Sea.

@TT: I missed Steve Hackett's show in my hometown because our baby was born just a week ago. I already had tickets but gave them to a friend. I heard it was a great performance.

  6. Thanks Lani. Compared to you I'm a small timer though... :D

It really pisses me off that I've lost the photos of the old ones that I've owned. Many, many reps that new members could find fascinating. "Fascinatingly bad" by todays standards I'm afraid but they'd portray the evolution of the Sub nicely (for example).

The problem is that those old reviews are in the original RWG1 and I used Imageshack to store the photos. After my hard drive crashed I lost all of them.
