  1. Well, I've been following this for the past few weeks. Even have an e-mail from george saying to jump on board before the prices shoot up. Yet no where on here, or there do I see any happy Customers reporting that this long awaited piece has arrived. And no final production photos either!

I'm just befuddled with this Project. Understanding that the early peeps that jumped on board are potentially getting a good deal. But how can this guy sell at the current rate and with nothing to show for?

What do others feel? Told you so? May not be a Scammer but look at the prices...etc. With myself, I say...Too many promises and nothing to show for. I've seen excuses about losing Gmail account e-mails and partial refunds and offerings of the Sub instead. Not too encouraging.

  2. Hey thanks, I found those pics from one of the Rolex Message boards. Here is what I read at one time about the green sapphire crystal.

It was meant to capture and hold the LUME as long as possible. The c1 lume lasts about 6 hours and the orange (emits a blue lume) for about 15 minutes then turns into green like the c1.

In all likelyhood. This green sapphire use "is a myth" and is no more advantageous than clear or AR coated sapphire.

Another thing that was going on from post 2008 Basel introduction, is rumors that the precious Green sapphire was limited in supply and hence all the Grey market and authorized Dealers selling this piece for in the neigborhood of $15K plus!

Again, turned out to be a myth and the Price has come back down to earth!

  3. I'll have to agree with iceberg and the others. While a decent looking Rep with improvements to the casing and bracelet. The dial and the Crystal still has a long way to go. Even from afar the green (or blue, or whatever) on this version will be obvious. Close up, it will be instantly recognizable.

Whether it's tinted like AR, on the outside, inside, or both. It will never replicate the hue of a Gen green crystal which produces a unique reflection at all angles (almost Prism-like).

In real life and on photos. As soon as light hits this Rep, it's game over I'm afraid.

Hence I'd stick with purchasing the White Milly and working on that dial and lume.

Here is what it does to a water drop(s) in a non altered photo. Actual GV Crystal

  4. Same thing with the GV. Case, bracelet, proportions not too shabby (per pics)

But Dial needs work. The special Orange Lume on the Gen doesn't look bright in daylight like the Rep. The second marker and numbers are all fine font on the Gen and the Rep's are thick as are the Lettering.

But the most telling is the Green Sapphire of the Gen versus the Rep. Something that would steer me to the White Milly and the Black Milly avoiding the Gen. That one thing will take a long time to improve upon, (and possibly never be replicated).

I've seen hundreds of pics of the GV sapphire under different lighting conditions. Coloured glass or AR coloured tint is not going to have the same effect on the Rep.

  5. Agreed cableguy. The first few Gens of the Milgauss were all wrong in a DJ body.

    This bracelet looks really good!

Now just the Dial improvements. Somewhat easy to correct the hour marker Orange Luminova. Another thing to change the second markers, numbers, Lettering font, etc.

So A dial swap would be the most cost effective. I can't see anything wrong with the case, body, bracelet sofar.

  6. Thanks guys.

I realize text on a page gets the SCAM site marking with RWG Members, (especially from past history) with the B&R's claiming a specific movement and Superlumed, yet none were.

Mention of the material on this piece says 316, and weight is 6 ounces off from the original based on one movement to one movement (or so it is claimed)

But in terms of Pics being worth it and clearly showing what you are getting. 1:1 with claim of an original movement being able to fit, I guess they tried the original test piece YM in their case, so I am just excited (sofar).

Communication has been good with all the Cntenders, (all answering within a day - Timezone so understandable)

Is the $675 worth it for the Pics posted? Think AP ROO's, Hublot BB, and all those other Super Reps that are commanding big bucks because of the 1:1 casing, Dial work, Ceramic bezels and yet - CRAP movements (per the The Zigmeister review). Hands falling off, etc

Yet others are still paying $700+ for those pieces on these boards!?

  8. This piece has been around for years. It seems that Members aren't too keen on it and prefer to go with Modding and perfecting Sub and Daytonas.

Everyone else is pretty much inclined to be satisfied with a "decent" or "good" YM. But how about a perfect one? Is it because this piece has the easily identifiable Platinum Bezel and Dial that almost NO current Reps can match the GEN? I guarantee that this is the case as I've seen the discolouring of the "good" YM's greyish dial and as well Pics of the sunburst YM dials that some have tried to pass on as Gens.

So going trhough the Boards (RWG, Darkside) and googling the "Outsiders". Here are the contenders.

    Contender 1

    Puretime - $178

    Good read thanks.

So as of right now I've got Chris (Eurotimez) MBK-RN-005 bookmarked. I'll wait and see if the final product delivered to other Members awaiting this Project is indeed worth it.

Checklist for the Members "testing the waters" on the outside

Dial is dead on perfect (font and superlumed) - yes/no

Dial WG matches texture, look of the Gen platinum dial - yes/no

Bezel WG plated texture, colour matches Gen - yes/no

Case is 316 SS and per pictures matches construction of Gen? - yes/no

Bracelet "reverse engineered" is 1:1 with Gen per the blog pics? (sold seperately as well for $155 usd) - yes/no

Movement claims to be ETA swiss, is it? - yes/no

As one of the Members already said before. The key to this entire projext is the YM dial on WM9. Unless someone else can pull it off and save Members here $400 or so. Long term effects of a Member owning a "Good YM Rep for a small price tag" is almost better spent on a week of groceries.

I mean, where are the heck are you going to wear that when the dial is clearly off in font, texture, lume and colour? And that's worth $150? I'm confused who buys those Reps? It's not like you can upgrade that.

  10. Thanks guys. And Mahler I appreciate the thread to read.

I've never dealt outside other than with the Scammer Replicahause. I joined up and di my best to deal with all the guys from RWG and Darkside.

But even so I've experienced shoddy pieces (which I paid top daoller for) $300 range. And I have saved e-mails from The Zigmeister Zumba when he opens up the caseback reporting to me how some of the Dealers have completely mangled the Movement holders and other things inside.

Also haven't been happy with some bracelets and dial lint and font paint chips, etc. So you know, we got "reputable" Dealers on here too that I almost want to say, "Well I got what I paid for - and most of the times. It's not quality".

So I was impressed that WM9 appears to be showing upfront what he's doing on this YM piece reverse engineering and showing Gen to Rep" in each picture.

Forget for a moment about the Previous Sub issues and all those threads I am trying to catch up on reading.

I am merely (like others I am finding on here) that this new Rep appears to be very exciting. Would really like to hear the Members thoughts once they receive them. ps. I know it's been a long time waiting as well.

    Best regards everyone

  11. *sigh* I guess I'll sit back and wait patiently. I read so much varying opinions of WM9. So I'm flip flopped over the EuroTimez YM and the yet to be revealed WM9 YM (with * perfect dial to match their Gen sample).

Any other notable plus +'s? One has SL - superlume over the other.

So none of the Reverse engineering and photos on this project justify the Dealer's Rep and/or Price it's being offered for?

MAHLER, I'm using due diligence and searching everything I can about WM9. He's an outside Dealer so he's automatically considered a Scam and False Forum operator?

  12. It is a long wait but i paid a deposit of $37 in Januuary, balance to pay when the watch is ready $338, Total for watch $375. Not the $675 WM9 are asking now.

Worth the wait, and you see the watch take shape from the site update's.

baglc1: Great price you are getting this for :thumbsupsmileyanim: I almost pulled the trigger on the MBK for $400. But if this WM9 is going with the better dial, font, SL and many, many other details (Bracelet, case, bezel, etc) As said above the $675 seems pretty reasonable for the attention to detail.

Do you ahve any idea what the newest update is? VIP customers slowly getting their pieces shipped out? Let us know when you get yours! Congrats

  13. Is Jos Nana's GMTII ($388) or Daytona ($358) 14K wrapped centre link or MBK's Yacht-Master ($400) ---> solid linked bracelet?

I bought a "perfect" Sub from TrsutyTime and it was hollow as a flute.

Are there ANY Rolex solid linked bracelets available from our Dealers?

Any help appreciated to pointing me in the right direction. :D

  14. Not boasting on the precision or quality of any of these. With two kids, I don't have the time and patience to make these perfect. One day however, I'll whip out the paint brush and do some actual lettering on my own. ;)

First project - the IWC pilot style clock

  15. Got an "unwanted" wall clock for free, last week. So decided to try and make a PAM clock with the scrap supplies I had left from my IWC wall clock project.

So far, cost is $1 for black card stock.

I'll show finished results by next weekend.

  16. Overall project cost under $20. :) I bought the vinyl lettering set from Office Depot and it had 1/2 - 2" numbers and letters. So I may downscale the 1" numbers one day. Printed off the lettering yesterday to some labels. Here is the finished clock.
