  1. I want to buy a watch on ebay and the seller is located in US. I heard that most packages from the US that arrive in my country are taxed by customs office. I'd rather avoid that   But I also heard that packages sent to UK are tax free (ebay says something like that on their website). Is that true?
If I was right and it's safe to ship to UK, maybe someone would be kind and help me with this matter?
I know that duty tax on my purchase is not that high (it's about 30$) But penny saved is penny earned...
Where did you read is tax free to the UK? I. Personally shipped things to Hong Kong just so I know is tax free.

  2. Hi. I’m new to this Site. I have been interested in a replica for a long time. I have had really bad experiences after spending thousands on genuine TAG watches and now want a ‘proper’ watch. I don’t have 12k to spend on a Rolex Daytona but am in love with its look. I love the idea of having a replica Swiss movement. There are loads of people getting ripped off. Where do I get one from ?
There are "Trusted Dealers" (TDs) on this forum where most of them can you the same rep (roughly the same price) and some prefer different payment methods.

You are new and I will be nice as we get new members asking the SAME/SIMILAR question as you ALL THE TIME. If you use the search function, you will find the info you need.

To answer your question there are NO Swiss movement rep Daytona (unless you bought a gen movement). The current and best Daytona is by ARF. Where is an ASIAN movement and the chrono doesn't work so it can have a close to gen slim profile.

  3. it's always a pleasure to have good advice from members. I know that the Monaco is not a priority for me too but I thought that given the vintage Rolex replica you can find. I guessed you should find a nice Heuer.

we keep in touch if someone got a good news for 2018

Wish you a good New Year’s Eve
Unfortunately there are no good vintage Rolex reps (4 digits) unless you build one. TBH, if you want decent "out of the box" reps is best to go with modern watches like AP, Tudor (especially Black Bay), Paneria, IWC and SOME Rolex (like ARF and Noob) offers.

  4. I personally wanted a rep Monaco ever since i discovered rep forums that was around 8 or 9 yrs ago and there isn't one that's decent. Live is too short, if you are in a position to acquire a gen one, do it. I personally have other stuff in life which takes priority and Monaco is not at the top of my list.

Best of luck with your search.

  5. I'm going in late Jan. My dad is a well known watch restorer in the East (he only deals with businesses not individuals) and even he said he's doesn't know their physical address. Providing he's speaks Vietnamese and have been doing this for the last 20yrs. He usually meet dad in his hotel or in coffee shops.

One thing you have to remember, altho Vietnam is corrupt, but it is still illegal if they replicating parts, hence their secrecy.

On another note, Ive met the supplier of MQ and Phong before. I told him their prices and he's not surprised as he's doesn't know English or tech so he can't sell his stuff himself.

  6. PT (Angus) is a great TD I doubt there will be an issue, but the timing does seem rather long maybe the model you bought is discontinued and they have issues sourcing you the part(s) for repairs. Anyhow my recommendation is shoot Angus a PM and he should sort you out.

  7. I have a fascination for Rolex reps that mix up features of two or more models, sometimes they are nothing like any Rolex ever built. I have a couple of real beauties. Currently I’m hunting for a 116610 chronograph. This evening I was cruising Google images and found a new one to me. A DayDate with merc hands and a Sub dial fitted. To my great surprise I discovered it is genuine and totally original.

Just in case anyone thought I was delusional, I know 116610 Chronograph reps exist. I believe it has a Quartz movement and I want one. I know it’s a bit rubbish, that’s the appeal

Well this day date is a post via Hodinkee, according to the article is gen as Rolex serviced it multiple times and I do know they will not service any replicas or watches which are franken.

All and all, I still doubt its authenticity as Rolex hardly make any custom pieces, with the buoyant vintage market is very easy to ride this gravy train and start introducing "prototypes" and "custom" pieces and then invent some story to support its provenance.

  8. What are the main flaws for a TC insert? Looks pretty good to me compared with a gen bezel above. The only tell I can see is the pearl. Sorry I don't own a TC sub but I do have a gen LV, so just curious as TC looks pretty good ok photos.

  9. Who is making the best version of this, currently? NooB factory?

Don't think anything is decent. The bezel is not correct, the correct hand stack (CHS) movement is prone for issues and thats before we talk about SEL. You might be better off getting a sub.

  10. Very true. Accuracy or lack thereof will dictate price. You can get a "passable" accurate Venus movement model or a nice used DW a7750 for less than 1k, but if you want one that is really accurate, and remember no rep however expensive will be 100%, you could easily spend 4-5k.
Another consideration as with all replicas of expensive watches, can you pull off wearing a 30k watch? You never know when you might run into a guy who knows his Daytonas.

  11. Define what is "good"? Basically for a rep you either have to settle with a converted A7750 movement with manual wind where the sub dial doesn't sit at the same place as a gen OR you go with the venus movement where the chrono doesn't work but the subdials are in the correct position. But if you want both you would need a V72 and the movement alone is over 1K USD (unless you are lucky or you found one that is not working and you can get it fixing).

  12. Me and my mate are interested in getting a 809H each. (yes I know there's only one left). Apologies I'm slightly confused of what to do as we need to buy the watch first and remove the hands so we can send them to you to lume with the dial? Also the 809H is gold colour, what's your advice on the mod for that?

Also any one know what plexi crystal to use if we use the V6 or V7 as the base? I have a modder ready on the UK (I don't want to disclosed him as I didn't as for his permission) to do the case mod (PCG and chamfering).
