  1. Yea seems like a POS. im fairly [censored], i opened it up and it wasnt working at all, as i move it around i can feel like somethings moving on the inside but then it stops idk im a newb w these i figurw somwone here knowa what to do? Spent like 300$ for this so im fairly upset :/

The best part is that it went through a QC. It sounds to me like you took the car for service, there was no timing belt and they didn't notice. But I can understand how you feel. It's the disappointment and the frustration after what you went through until you got the package in your hands.

  2. The crown on a gen rotates while the crown guard is down BUT the manufacturer in their manual recommends that you don't it. Trying to rotate it while the CG is down will accelerate the wear on the watch due to increased prssure on the seals and the center of the crown. But I guess what you asked is if it's normal. Yes it is. Going one step further, try NOT to do it.

  3. I believe he's wearing a rep rubber strap. Josh told me he drop ships to Clinton all the time and often Bill is the one who snaps the QC pics.

I don't think so. If he was the one taking the QC pics he would have at least managed to grab a better watch for himself. The AR and the CG pin both look terrible at least on that black seal.

  4. And why do you expect I should go the extra distance and try explaining the already well known fact to an arrogant and disrespectful person like you?!

How about politely asking, listening and learning from others here before jumping in your own uneducated conclusions, for a change? Or are these concepts too novel for you, eh poreti?

because perhaps you are the uneducated one? Eh, babola?

Of course you sure would like to believe you are not and your ass knows it all but could it be that things are a little diferent in the real world than in your fantasy world? Eh babola? Eh?

P.S. I hope you don't mind me borrowing your "eh" garbage. And next time your Highness doesn't feel like answering to "uneducated" ones it's called keeping your mouth shut and moving on. No need to keep reminding us (except your friends here of course who will rush forward to defend you) what an [cencored] you are.

  5. I mean it could be a 089. They both look similar. I see titanium, I (not 100% sure) see date so I guess 240. Where did you come up with the 089? I'm clearly not objecting to it, as I just said I just guessed, but since you seem to be sure let us know hw you are certain in the above picture he is wearing an 089.

  6. Let's take for example a Gen Pam104.

    .

When you look at it straight you see a uniform dial but when you look at it from a certain angle you can see that the subdial has the circle arcs as well as it appears at a different level than the main subdial. Look at the pictures below. Are the rep ones the same?

  7. They are all reps man. Did you see The crownguard pin? Terrible. A dead giveaway. Then man is a smart guy. I think he's gonna go for the latest 390 too.

But if you notice he likes his wacthes more sportif and casual. In one case he wears a rubber strap and in the other the black seal ceramic which are rather unconventional to wear with a suit.

  8. Well, if the rubber strap is good for the President, and on top of it with a suit too, it's good for me. As said by Storm maybe a tunnel. I I'll keep them both at hand just in case. If Panerai gave this a gift to him it's the smartest thing they did. In fact they should send it to many more high profile people as from what I noticed people pay attention to these things. Very good advertising. I'm wondering if he is a member here on rwg. Bill, if you are confirm this is the rubber, please.

By the way, is this the 104?

  9. someone in the comments says:

I have something VERY interesting to add to this! A good and wealthy client recently sent me one of these watches and as it was without box and paperwork I was advised to be VERY careful. He took the watch into a Panerai agent prior to sending it to me and was told that the watch was definitely genuine. On receiving the watch I was convinced that it was real until I looked at this and some replica sites and noticed that the case number on my watch was E0117!!!After looking at this watch is doesn't seem to display any of the giveaways of a counterfiet shown here so how do I tell for sure!?!?

I have hard time believing this. I thought the movement on these is a dead giveaway.

  10. Unless they are too small to close, which of course would make them useless, they are just small. But they serve the same purpose as the longer ones. Now the question becomes whether you like them on the short side or on the longer one. I personally like them short like that because I find it more neat and more in accordance with a luxury watch. Just my personal preference. I'm sure Panerai are aware of the length of their straps. They wear them too (and I'm sure they are no differentin size then the rest of us) and they get feedback too. So they may have some similar story to tell as to why they are short. Which my the way they are not that short. I have a close to 8" wrist and I still like them. So I'm sure if they were longer there would be many 6.5"ers who would be dissatisfied much like you, and many others, are now.

  11. it's a fake one. So any inconsistencies with the real one such as the polished case and the see-thru back are ok. When this watch was made at a rep factory the reps weren't as accurate and most importantly they did not have the real one as a reference, which seems to be the case today with most Panerai (at leat the latest).

So what you have is a non-acccurate 241 fako.

  12. 1. Can you show the caseback? You say it's transparent but I don't see it.

    2. In your pics I see C/G. Why are you saying there is not one?

    3. The gen pic I posted is the 241. Unfortunately the rep oneI posted is not. The hands are different. So far the only difference I see between yours and the 241 is none unless the caseback is indeed transparent. Can you double check and also post pics or say what it says on it.

  13. it's 44mm wo crownguard, also it isn't brushed its polished(not really anymore).

also it has see-thru caseback... hmmm, wierd model.

anyone know the movement, it really needs a new one. or an substitute :)

    thanks so far :D

where is the see-thru caseback? Have pics? What does it say on it?
