No it's true. I don't know much about reps, but I have been reading on this forum way more than I post. I can tell a TAG or an Omega usually, but I own a rep rolex and pam, but I still can't tell the difference between mine and the gen.
Maybe a better test would be to put all the watches in water and see if they make it

looking good! even if the grey is not spot on, a different shade of grey would also be nice right? who says that their grey is the best!

I want that watch!!
Bond Homage, with Bond Dr. No/pre-Walther Beretta.

I'm obviously the minority here, but I never intend to get a gen. Ever.
It just depends on the value you can give to your hobby. I can't justify paying $5k for a watch. Maybe this is because I've only recently made my way from middle class to upper class. I can however justify paying about $1k for ~4-5 good reps. I've worn my 45mm PO for about a month now and nobody has even noticed it, let alone questioning the authenticity.
I'm not the type that can keep my watches in good condition, so my resale value on a gen would be terrible.
The only factor that makes me want a gen is the fact that I can't put my rep anywhere near water..

Tony (asian7750) says "yes . many factories seized by the policed .and the TAG factory is closed for some days"
he doesn't seem to worried. some days

lets hope so.. i want my bloody pam fix for the month!
maybe the watch companies paid more than the rep guys this time?

nice.. i have the po45 in orange. i saw a someone wearing one the other day and thought my bracelet wasn't as shiny.. but mine looks exactly like yours in the pics so i'm not so worried now. i should probably take it somewhere to get polished or shined or something..

Hi guys,
I got a cheap PAM111 from toro and I realised after a week of use that the bezel actually turns (obviously it shouldn't). Toro is very nice and he is happy to fix it but I love the watch too much to send it away for so long!
Basically my question is: how do I take the bezel off without scratching anything?
Can I use superglue or something to stick it on?
Should I just send it for repair?

Agreed Good dress watch with the leather too. Will buy one, just want to buy another watch with it. I'm thinking the IWC but still deciding.

Hey guys,
I saw my boss with his new IWC3714-17 and montblanc pens.. So I decided I'd get a few new reps
Can anyone tell me why everyone talks about the montblanc timewalker chrono being a great rep, but I never hear anything about the non-chrono rep?
Also what's the verdict on the IWC? From the searching I've been doing nobody seems to favour this rep.. Unless you mod it - which I can't.
Thanks for the help..
(see my sig )

My wrist size is 7 1/4" That's fairly average and my planet ocean 45.5mm looks great on me. So does my PAM111.

yeah tony went away for a bit, he's back now though. shipped my item yesterday. he usually responds in 24 hours, i've emailed him about 70 times now so I don't think that rule holds for me
He won't run away with your money don't worry. He's a nice guy.
