It seems I completely missed this forum and didn't introduce myself. I think I am relatively young (to the rest of the forum) but have a huge fascination with watches and I have some gens myself (some of you may have seen them already as I posted photos). Looking into buying a rep in the future, but i'll see! Anyway, Hi!

My watch is 20 years old, so I presume it should glow?

Trust me, I'm 18 and have a gen Submariner blue and gold and a Tank francaise full size in steel and the same one in bi-metal. I'm not an idiot, I just want to see what the difference is between a rep and a real one and considering I am on this forum, surrounded by them, I have become interested in buying one.

Should my sub glow in the dark? i've seen photos of peoples that do... i'm yet to test mine, but should it? P.S. its a sub blue and gold from 1992

Ninja - I realise that, I have a box / case (with glass and cushions) aswell as a winder. (bear in mind im working with gens) the stands should be fine and look nice with one or two of the watches positioned there constantly and changed around every day or so. Yep, I checked google and ebay. Ebay were requesting crazy prices. I'll check out the site you gave. Thanks!

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. I think I will try and sell it to dealers in London first for around £1,600 just to see what offers I get.

Ah, so i'm not running a risk buying reps... the thing is, I don't want a watch that people will feel (the weight especially) and know its a rep!

Hi guys, Just wondering, is the weight of the replica watches usually similar to the originals? I have bought one before (offline..) and it's weighed 1/4 of the genuines weight.

I bought this, genuine Cartier Tank Francaise. Just want to see what you think and how much its worth. Second hand with papers, box etc. What do you reckon? btw, I have just started collecting watches, looking into getting a rep after this! Alex
