I think you're right about that. In fact, I'm really not a big Rolex fan in general. I just don't like the way most of them look. However, the DSSD really does it for me. I like it so much that I don't care if everyone assumes it's fake. If anyone asks, I'll tell them it's fake, but I still love the way it looks. That's why I bought one.

Now if I could only get F-ing customs to let the GD post office F-ing deliver the F-ing thing !!!

Hi guys, based on the advice of this thread, I've pulled the pin on a PO from Joshua, the email contact has been fantastic, and actually far beyond what I was expecting. Cougar - I totally agree. The Aquaracer is my next purchase for sure. I think I'm going to get the non-chrono, but man I love the look of that watch. I was very close to buying the gen of this one. I think they retail for like $2850 and I found an AD that I could get it for $2050 with no tax. But I was torn because I really wanted the PO and that was twice the money.

But then I found out about the reps and now here I am.

As soon as I get my first rep, actually on my wrist, I'm going to order the Aquaracer. I think it's just a b@d@$$ looking watch.

After that I'm going to get a nice dress watch. Still looking around but there's a few I really like..

I saw this video on youtube a few nights ago. I couldn't imagine any pawn shop buying a watch without looking at the movement. He didn't mention a thing about cracking it open...

I already have a APRO Jumbo rose gold on bracelet and never really gave a thought to buying an new strap and using that....

Only problem is I'd have to wear rose gold accesories to match, cufflinks, belt buckle etc.

Ok, so I give my cousin a Pam gmt like back in 06. He is in the music buis. I'm not bullshitting, he is chilling with Alice Cooper and a few people backstage. Alice is a Pam Collector. So someone else asked my cous If it is real. He took it off, handed it to Alice - he looked it -qup and down and said, oh yeah, it's real . Keeping in mind my cous is not a roady, he has a production company. And this was with the old school rep strap. But heavily worn in. Alice had no reason to kiss his ass.

Another story. I met a dude at Disney while we were waiting for our kids to take pics. I said nice watch and I showed him mine. We were both wearing AP i had the new rubber clad in a black dial. He had the same watch without the rubberized bezel. He said he really wanted the black one. But there was a three month waiting list - in whatever country he was going back to.

Now, I know exactly what was available because they were super new and only a handfull of models had the subdial look.

He says - you wanna trade? I had to maintain complete control not laughing. I mean we were hold the watches right next to each other and we took the others to look it over.

Of course I didn't trade. But i also didn't have the heart to send him to a rep site either. Quick 15-20k in my pocket. Which by now I could use i would have wasted it away before then anyway? Def my best rep story to date

I've been doing the same thing. The first watch I ordered went through customs in China before it was sent (according to EMS Tracking), and it was only in customs for less than a day. When it got to the US it skipped customs and went from JFK to my door in a day. The whole process from order to delivery was exactly 7 days.

This time my package is in customs for two days (so far) here in the US.

I know it was a miracle that it got here so fast the first time so I'm trying to be patient, but it's hard. I'm leaving town tomorrow and was hoping I'd be able to take my new watches with me on the road. No such luck. With my luck, the package will be delivered to my house 5 mins after I leave!

Do you have any suggestions? That's really what I need. I'm kinda looking for something along those lines, but I'd really just like to hear what you guys with more experience have found that looks really nice in the "dressy" watch category. And, something that's quality. Accuracy to the gen in this watch isn't as important to me as long as it is a quality rep that looks good.

There's a ton of info on sport/dive watches here, but I've searched and am not finding much on dressier watches.
