  1. For this exact reason, I'm waiting for the ETA 45mm which Neill will have this week . I know that won't guarantee that the rotor isn't oxidized, but I think I have more of a chance of getting a winner.
  2. The only one that does something for me is the Ferrari edition.
  3. I just got an email from Neil. ETA 45mm PO will be arriving this week. That is the one to wait for in my opinion.
  4. I even tried to find the famed Mario Paci. I would have liked to get some more of his straps direct from the source. Without a doubt my favorite straps. He is supposedly in Florence.
  5. My Navitimer works great and is spot on for a gen. It's also for sale. Passed the scrutiny of jewelers while in Italy. I was treated very well.
  6. Got back yesterday. Had a great time. Had a bit of time to watch hunt and here's what I found: Panerai-Out of favor. Didn't see anyone wearing one (except one American tourist). Was treated with respect by jewelers while wearing my 196 and here's what I tried on: Anonimo: Panerai style watch that comes from ex-Panerai designers. Sharp. Cool crown guard mech. Reasonably priced Hublot Big Bang: Big joke. Ugly and overpriced for a ss watch. Omega Planet Ocean: Got to get a gen of the 45mm since I sold my gen SMP. Gorgeous and reasonably priced. AP Royal Oaks: Didn't like them one bit. I know they're nice watches, but they feel like they lack substance. I tried on a brand new model with a Calibre movement. IWC Spitfire: Great face My two favorite watches by far: Frank Muller Conquistador-White gold, curved crystal, black rubber strap scented with vanilla (I'm not kidding). Fit my wrist like a glove. Gorgeous Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grand Reveil- Pink gold. WOW. If money was no object it would be the watch for me. $30,000 retail.
  7. I think the Breitling is a safer bet. I couldn't walk into the boutique wearing a Pam rep. The bigger question: What should I put on my ipod for the fights
  8. Rome- 24th-26th Florence 26th-28th Milan 28th-31st This a totally last minute trip, so I have no idea what I'll be doing.
  9. I'm heading for the land of Panerai tomorrow. Will be in Florence, Rome and Milan. What should I bring in terms of watches. I've got a 196, an 029 and a Breitling Navitimer. Should I stick with one watch? Of course I'll bring a couple of straps if I go the Pam route. Thanks for obliging my silly question.
  10. Neil, I would hate to be the telemarketer that gives you a call on a bad day. I would imagine you would have choice words for them. I enjoy your rants. You call a spade a spade.
  11. I'd like to see pics if anyone has them. Someone posted a comparison of how the GMT function works on the two, but I'm not sure how accurate their description was. Pictures might clarify. Thanks
  12. I'm in for ONE. I have no interest in pulling apart my watch, so one of our guys will get my 029 to play with for a while (maybe a lume and a crown fix too). Thanks
  13. This place is shaping up nicely. You guy have done amazing footwork. I'm ready to have the "perfect" 029 with a cyclops that is the right size and provides some mag as well as a a new crown. Thanks for all the hard work guys.
  14. Neil, What model is that Certina watch? Beautiful, clean and love the lume.
  15. admin, If that is your wrist in the avatar, I have two things to say to you: 1. Nice AP 2. Stick with 38mm and under. The watch looks pretty silly on your wrist. Welcome to the New RWG and my to the point style
  16. I'm just impatient. If I have to wait too much longer, I'll probably buy a gen Pam.
  17. Check them out in the Trading Zone, Member, Straps and Bracelets. First come first serve on the Horween. This is the finest.
  18. I would just love a definitive answer on whether there is a larger diameter cyclops with better mag for my 029. I compared it to a gen the other day and it just doesn't cut it. Bring on the updated crowns please
  19. I'm here. Doesn't feel right. I feel like a noobee, eventhough I'm not. I probably spent two+ hours per day at RWG since July.
