  1. I was wondering if the antimagnetic properties of reps are on the level of gens?

Reason why I am asking is that I have to wear an identification badge on my upper clothing for work. I've chosen to attach it with neodymium magnets since it's fast, clean and easy.

My watch head has never touched the badge and I'm sure it never will, but it often does come close (with my wrist in between).

Is this something to be worried about? Can it affect my watches in time?

  2. When reselling on the forum the neighbours good one is worth 380 and my flawed one has difficulties finding a buyer for 220....

See, that's the problem with their shoddy quality control. Different people order the same watch, pay the same amount of money but depending on your luck your watch might or might not be worth as much as the other buyer's watch.

  3. Still. If we can't reject watches with bad lume and skewed letters... I have a stinker of a PO while I have seen examples of perfect ones around. Do I not pay the same money as others? Do I not have the right to get a good watch? This is what is starting to really bother me about the rep business. It's illegal so we should be on our knees thanking the dealers for the privilege of purchasing rep watches? F*ck that, seriously. I work hard for my money, I'd like to see something in return. Is it really that hard for the rep factories to have a bit of quality control?

  4. Bit small too, at 38.5mm. I have regular wrists but I'm not sure I can get away with that. Fingers crosses for a 41.5mm version. Movement decoration doesn't bother me, as long as it's a decent base movement. You only see it when you take it off and turn it over anyway.

  5. Use pp if you can your information your choice .but may help .you never know .u r safe on pp

They're so good that most dealers are afraid of accepting payments from them. Paypal are bastards, they act like a bank but have to follow none of the banking rules. They are fortunate to have a monopoly on these types of payments, I'd be long gone to the competitors otherwise.
  6. Agreed 100% Toro always come thru.. one question tho, this is my first CNY.

Did Toro's site really get seized again or does he take it down during CNY?

I'm just getting a blank screen but it doesn't look like a takedown warning as it did several months ago, more like he disabled it temporarily?

He has a new website, perhaps you've been visiting the old one: http://torobravos2014.com/

  7. Have one as well, it's an amazing watch. Only thing that I can notice on mine is that the pearl is a bit misaligned, but you'd really need to look up close to notice it. Oh, and the inside of the lugs are razor sharp. I'm dying to wear it but I can't as I actually received the wrong order and am waiting for the dealer to respond to whether or not I can keep it...

Gents look at this screen shot, what do you see a lot of black very little color. We need color! PM me the new payment is simple I have gotten tens of twenty guys signed up no problem. I see a lot of names of guys I know who are here all the time come on just five bucks a month for VIP help out a little, you can do a $1.25 a week.

In all honesty, the new paying system is bugged. I paid for VIP and a few days later I got an email that the service was suspended due to not paying. I pm'ed admin and he fixed it right away. Next day, same thing happened again. So at this moment, while I did pay for VIP I am browsing as a regular member.

This is a payment receipt for Invoice 11897 sent on 14/01/2014

    VIP Forum Upgrade (21/01/2014 - 20/02/2014) $5.00 USD

This should still be valid, right?

  9. I can't see how companies like Steinhart are really using 100% swiss movements...just the movements along would cost most of the price of the watch....There has to be something we are missing...don't get me wrong...I might pick up the bronze pilot myself...like rolexman said...I wonder if these movements are swiss and Asian mixed?

I can't see why they wouldn't. Hamilton for example sells watches with gen ETA's at a similar price point. And yes, I know Hamilton is Swatch but I assume their purchasing price for the movements would be the same.

  10. I'm really fond of my Ocean Black, could not find a better watch for that price. I do think their popularity is giving them issues.

Some watches have a very long waiting list and qc on my latest watch was very lacking. Was an Aviation Vintage that arrived with scratches in the DLC and a broken crown. Customer service is top notch though, received a refund very quickly.

  11. This is exactly the reason we recommend you go to an AD & try on (& research) the gen before buying/building a copy.

I've always wondered how that works? Honest question, I have only once visited an AD. You just walk in an AD and you can try anything you like? I read about this on so many boards. But I'm pondering about purchasing a quite expensive gen (for me anyways) and I don't think I could agree if I bought it at an AD and the watch had been on dozens of people's wrists before mine. It would just feel like second hand. Or do AD's carry demo's of everything and you receive an unboxed one when you purchase it?

And to OP's question: sometimes but not often. If I see a watch I like, it's pretty much guaranteed that I will love it even more when I own it. But I recognize your story as I have the same thing with smartphones and other electronic gadgets.

  12. all replica forums should be interrelated and as its a big industry there should be ip address tracking kind of thing to stop these kind of scammers to log in with different names

IP address banning isn't really a solution. Many ISP's have dynamic IP's, so a user will get a new one after some time. If you ban the MAC address you can block the users device, unless he changes his network card or switches to another device.
