Love this... nice build. I am always impressed with authentic looking builds that are not budget blowers :-)
Thanks! Only thing I wanna do is get a gen crown.

I wonder who got busted that owned so many watches and I wonder how many are reps.
-
Like the Lange, the JlC preceded my RWG days & was purchased from some anonymous (& long-gone) rep website I located via 1 of the popular search engines pre-2000. The strap is a German-made Di-Modell, that I added later.
Every once in awhile, while searching for something else, I come across a similar JlC model listed on 1 of the RWG sellers websites, so you might search through them or ask if they can source it for you.
Great looking watch. Thanks for the info

Ditto tomhorn's comments, except that I think Lange 1 reps are so far off that I would never wear 1. I have been searching for an accurate Lange 1 rep since long before I came to RWG & I have yet to see anything that does not shout rep. At the very least, to come even close to passing for a gen, a rep would need to have the large date feature, which was the hallmark of the 1 & something that the Asians have not been able to properly master.
To sate my Lange desires, I picked up a nice Grand Arkade in 2000, which is pretty good, but also lacks the big date. Though, on the Arkade, it is a less prominent feature, so it is much less of an issue
Any more pics of that JLC? Is it a rep and if so, where did you purchase it?

Ya, no bueno. Maybe they had a DDOS attack? Hopefully they get online soon.

Hey All, RG has been down for me for over day. Anyone else getting the same problem?
-
both the 2836 and 2824 (swiss and clones) are 28,800 movements, the a2813 (typically refered as 21jby the TD's) is a 21600. Both gen Rolex and Omega models you have are in the same 28800 beat. If you bought the high beat then either its your eyes/mind playing tricks on you or the movements are dirty and could benifit froma cleaning and service. If a mvmt (swiss or asian or gen for that matter) is dirty and fouled up it will not behave correctly.
Actually the Gen Ceramic PO 8500 beats at 25,200

Noob Version, I have the white dial one. The black dial is not Matte like the gen and apparently the date wheel is not beveled like the gen. This is what I have read in reviews. I always get the Asian 25j movements as they are reliable for me and the fact I don't trust that when you buy the swiss one, that you actually get the eta movement. The lume is a little lumpy on the white one but the super lume on it is amazing. The black dial doesn't have lumpy lume but I have no idea how strong the lume is.

You ordered during Chinese new year. Chances are they were not around.

Love AT's This is my fav from the 2500 era next to the White dial/blue markers/hands AT.
Congrats on the pick up.
-
Looks good to me. 2nd one looks better. Pearl looks real dark on the first one.
-
Nice Photos, thanks for the upload
-
My vote is for the AT, I never liked the look of the SMP

PPCo for Friday...
Nice piece, is that a Gen?
-
Looks good to me.

Wish I had the proper tool for this case back opener and find out. Not sure what they paid for it.
-
Hey J, not sure which model it is. It was picked up by my parents while they were in Thailand. When I wind the watch I can barely hear anything and don't really feel much.
-
100% sure there was no metal. When the scratch initially happened I scrubbed the crap out of the crystal with a tooth brush and water. Nothing came out. I could feel the scratches with my finger nail.
-
I didn't think it could either, which is what made me think the crystal was plastic of some different material. As far as I read in the past, only diamonds and some other misc materials could do the job. Apparently the short corners of a titanium lug can do the job as well.
-
Ahh, sounds good Cougar, If its not too deep the had polish with cloth will work just fine.
Thanks imajedi!
-
Cougar, it was annoying but not as annoying as having the scratches. What ended up scratching the offshore crystal?
