inspired by the earliest of rolex and pams prototypes for the 3646.
So, parts:
Case, Nejad 3646 reshaped and thinned, including squared off neck around the crown tube. ( thank you V and L )
Dial, Daytona, painted and lumed by me.
movement, hammered brass, Swiss vintage arnex 6498.
coin edge ring is by Sjef thanks for such a quick turn around on this.
hands, binbin, sized, blued complete with bent tip on the minute hand. seconds came from one of the 6498's I had.
strap made by me, thanks to Bloo for the offcut it's like butter on the wrist. Buckle of course is by Elias.
Lume on the dial and hands is a mix of Cornholio's and V10 for the graininess.- 1

Great presentation! If you don't mind my asking, where can I get these stunning straps? (sorry for the newb question) I would definitely love one for my pam.
These are hand made by myself either for my own builds or for watches I make for others.

You should have gotten the movement too...
looks like some serious homagef job has been done here...
congrats again..
let me know if you are willing to let any of them go....
Well yes idealy I would love to have put a rol ex 618 in the RP and an Angelus in the MMLP but I don't have 10 grand just lying around sadly.
-
both pieces are gorgeous...
congrats
could you please share the specs with us?
Boxes are hand aged.
Cases are reshaped River 6154.
Dials are painted, filled and lumed by me
Hands on the MMLP are GEN Angelus hands, taken from an angelus travel clock. Sadly I didn't get the movement just the hands. I had to (carefully) remove the Radium completely before I broached the holes to fit the 6497, as a result I had to sand back to base steel and heat treat them to get the warm colour.
movement in the MMLP is a vintage branded cortebert Swiss 6497
movement in the RP is a molnija 3601
Hands on the RP are Athaya wide hands, aged and lumed.
straps are new leather aged and put together by me with an Elias aged brass buckle and blasted compass vintage buckle.

The colour of the hands were scraping down the chalkboard of my OCD so I stripped them back and heat treated them again.... Now I am content.
quick new photoshoot.
Boxes are hand aged.
Case is a reshaped River 6154, crown replaced with an Athaya V2 gen shape
Dial is painted, filled and lumed by me

as well as one i got from bigwave
a gen MMLP ? sized for an Angelus movement ?
-
That's the same watch i've been trying to model mine after!
do you have a dial ?
-
thought I would share two recent vintage builds with you.
-
My inspiration. 6152 angelus with arrow hands.
River 6154 case heavily reshaped. (6152 shape cases are very difficult to find now especially one's that accept third party components)
Athaya 8mm V2 crown + tube, case soldered around tube.
dial, painted, resin filled and lumed.
GEN angelus hands cleaned of radium (CAREFULLY....it was looking loose and unstable) broached to fit 6497, heat treated.
powered by a cortebert 6497 with H3 set fitted.
strap aged new leather made by me with an Elias brass buckle.
gen shot
my build -
and most recent
built with a 44mm brass case, reshaped and fitted with an Athaya 8mm crown.
Swiss hammered finish 6498
daytona dial, brown tropic + cornholio lume
athaya angelus hands, heat bronzed + cornholio lume
ammo pouch leather strap made by me. -
not a pam homage, more of a russian U boat style mashup. basically a cheap rep off the bay, gutted and rubbed down to the base metal, oh and I drilled a little hole for a sub style pearl, you know, just because. Nice brass crown cover underneath the black soot paint.
Fitted with a russian molnija 3601 krystal, a vintage tropic cali dial and angelus hands. NOW it's a wearable watch.
