  1. Swiss/Asian 2824 & 2836 PO/UPO - Swiss & Asian 2824 2531 - Swiss 2824 2254 - Swiss 2824 2255 - Swiss & Asian 2824 GMT - Swiss 2824 2541 - Asian 2824 This list is making me quite sad as all of these gems are on someone else's wrist
  2. Which SMP? I have swapped out rep dials with gen dials and didnt have any issues.
  3. $300 tops....Unfortunately, due to the fiscal cliff concerns impacting the US - everything dropped in value 50%. All kidding aside - your gen parts alone are worth atleast $350 along with servicing and other mods done, plus the original watch is well over $600+ As mentioned above, take a look at the sales section to see what similar watches had sold for in the past.
  4. The closed cased references the Omega reps from the past where the case was very similar to the gen. The HE valve was in the correct spot and the crown guards were very good. The Bond 007 not only had these characteristics, but the pearl was spot on as well. We say closed because the factory that produced them got shut down (hence "closed" in the description) years back. Its a shame that these models never resurfaced with the newer factories, especially those that make the POs. BTW - you got pics of the one that you bought? They are, especially with the gen dial....which i had two and sold .
  5. I just love the fact that the guy is brutally honest...may not be politically correct - but speaks from the heart and not a script.
  6. Bring in Jesse the body THE MIND Ventura to shake things up.
  7. There are no such things as politicians...just crappy sales people who will say anything and sell you something that is very unachievable just to get your vote in order to get elected. Each party blames each other...i swear - for the amount of time bashing each other on Fox or MSNBC and use that time to work together - AS A GOVERNMENT SHOULD - we'd be alot better off. But every party has their own agenda which apparently does not include making things right for us Americans. Is there an easy fix to fix the economy - yes and no. Can our government do it - yes. Will they? Probably not as everyone is gearing up for 2016 already. Its funny when i see these congressional hearings when members of congress are drilling and blasting athletes, banking CEOs, Automakers CEOs, etc. I really wish they would turn and tell Congress to go F themselves as its funny when they thumb their nose at others, but here our elected officials who can never solve for balance budgets, Social Security, Health Care, etc. etc. etc. Oh well...lets hope that there is hope with 2012 and the next four years.
  8. Those slutty dials Glad you got it and it looks great on the leather (vs bracelet). Wear it well !!!!
  9. Agreed - why put money into a part if no one will ever see since the watch is on your wrist.
  10. Wow - the old CN and TW models....i remember those where the top dogs back in the day and then throw in the originals MBWs..... BT - you've been showing some blasts from the past...makes me wanna lurk at my old album to see photos...but it may make me sad knowing that a number of pieces are long gone from my collection
  11. You are in the correct sub forum...please take the time to search and review threads/posts. You will find a plathera of information here.
  12. Beautiful.....always a classic....
  13. Kudos to everyone involved...definitely a nice gesture by many that you dont see nowadays...reminds me of the good ol' days
  14. Very pathetic with threats, etc. Kudos to the mods for their quick action.
  15. From the last pic - is everything 100% lined up (cyclops, date overlay, etc)?
  16. Did Mike use a PO Box for shipping/receiving or a actual home mailing address.
  17. Just swapped the dials from the cases. Ill take pics and upload them later for everyone to chime in. Higs - answer to your question - yes, both seconds hands are correct. The original SFSOs had a square second hand and then Breitling updated the SFSOs with arrow second hands.
  18. Definitely great to hear. Kudos to you. Keeping your niece in our prayers.
  19. +1 to what frankt posted. I have seen my fair share of similiar stories thoughout the years. We have a great hobby and of course, there are some that will go ahead spoil it for many members. superlative, on 02 October 2012 - 02:09 AM, said: I think we should all wait until Mike chimes in. I know he was going through a very difficult chapter in his life. SL - if you know him personally or know how to get a hold of him - please do or work with Mods on this board. Sometimes, these horror stories dont always have to end in horror. When members get involved - a difference can be made and from horror comes a happy ending.
  20. Hmmm...maybe ill end up keeping the V2 and sell the Asian. I really like the cream color dial with the dark leather strap opposed to the SS bracelet. Everyone - keep on the look out in the sales section
  21. This is what my gen looked like (sold it a few years back). I would say that the v2 dial, even though not 100% matching, is closer to the gen compared to older dial. Maybe ill just keep the v2 and buy the gen dial - http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-ORIGINAL-SUPEROCEAN-STEELFISH-A17360-WHITE-DIAL-PART-/200747610676?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebd7d7234
  22. Thanks guys for the input. I like the older dial due to the unique color. It reminds me of my old gen SuperOcean (same model as the XFish - but 42mm). I like the newer dial because its more detailed. I was leaning on keeping the v2, but now may keep both. Ill see if i have time to switch cases and see what the hybrid looks like as a result.
