I guess I have to ask again-sigh I have seen "gen" straps from AD's that have HAF, specifically 2 weeks ago and ordered one. I wanted to know if maybe somehow those reps have been leaked and have been sold or were/are available for purchase before they hit the rep market? If you don't know no problem but I guess I will have to post pics to show you what I am talking about. Just let me read up on PugW's how to camera tutorial so I can get some decent shots.

Doc-I found the photos. It's amazing what the search can do. I realize this is an old thread but I have a question for you since you are the guru of the 22mm rep thats coming out. Are there any prototypes that have been "leaked" or that have been sold? The reason I ask is because I have seen HAF instead of GAF on a "Gen" 22mm strap. Are there any variances of the acronym or is it ONLY GAF and HAF would indicate rep? Thanks.

Understood man. I have been the "victim" of Ideal Watches so before I found this place I thought it was the same. I.W. had me fooled into actually thinking the "swiss made" reps were made in Switz!!!! LOL! I got a bad LV by this websites standards and thought it looked real until I bought the Gen!. No dude! There are real Black women that don't really have long hair. So they either buy weaves or extensions. I don't mean they have a bic'd looking head, they just have afro puffs!!! As far as the 007 flame fest watch I just got it 2day! I'll post pics and try to make em come out really good.

COncerning the remark you made about the older Bond films. I can't comment on. 24 however is my favorite show of all time! Are you talking about Season 1? Yeah those funny prop guys. Last season he wore this MTM Special Ops watch. It's pretty tight-USA made, swiss quartz mov't.... I would think people, when they watch on the big screen VS the TV would have been more inclined to buy into the whole Omega placement thing than TV because TV shows like 24 use commercials to sell. Rolex probably didn't back the show regarding season one which is why I never saw a single Rolex ad for Fox, hence using a replica. Yes it is a prop. Kiefer switched more watch brands than Allen Iversons crossover. Fact is in 24 the show never blatantly used the Rolex, rep or not as a watch "Jack Bauer" officailly wears. The MTM watch has been in numerous cam shots throughout and can be purchased through Fox.com. My only point I was trying to get at was with Casino Royale they as you said had Omega product placement. Showing the public among other watches that Bond wears a PO 45mm without a 007 logo anywhere on the watch right? So by wearing a PO 45mm rep I found it funny because Bond, being "the man with the best gear" would never wear a rep. If you are a BOND fan, and a fan of Casino Royale I understand the distaste for the commemorative version. But I would think it would be logically just as narrow to sport a rep that was copied as a rep, in which Bond fans(specifically) would want to wear, subsequently wearing a replica Bond, being of such good taste would never wear in the first place. I still got one though because it looks great! The commemorative pieces are made and sold for the very reason you said about replicas: I agree with you. I never said I will never be happy with an imitation. I learned to live with the inherent flaws and I wondered why no one else did so, OR they do and I missed it! I am here to learn, educate myself and buy. I ordered the 007 watch and already ordered the Rubber strap from an AD I know in Costa Mesa. I'd rather have the gen but I need to pay the bills. I plan on getting the Hublot BB SS. It isn't 100% accurate but the craftsmanship than went into the watch is awesome. I wish they repped the Rolex's better. I dislike the rehaut, dial text and pearl. Even the modded ones don't look gen BUT I see they still look fantastic! Once again after re-reading everything I want to say my bad to all. If you guys don't buy reps for passing them as real would you care to enlighten me why you would by a rep in the firstplace? I thought it was obvious. I like the idea of wearing a similarly looking/ made product at about a tenth of the original's list price...That being said I know for a fact a replica WILL have flaws. If you get a 'perfect' looking identical rep then that is awesome for you! In my initial post (this but in unedited form) I made some smart ass comments and disrepected certain members concerning their replica buying/collecting habits. I grouped EVERYONE that has a rep into a category of trying to fool the general public. This is NOT the case as I have found out. I didn't think twice and I sincerely wish to apologize for those comments. For the record (lol!) I love replicas. Everything about them. Even though they are copies I have been collecting them since 1997, going to Venice Beach and finding those horrible copies no one has probably seen unless they have purchased 10.00 reps from Mexico...... That being said I realize flaws, no matter big or small will always be inherent on most pieces. I still don't understand the reasoning for buying/collecting reps other than for what I have used them for (closed minded I know) but would I love to learn more about the other reasons a lot of you seem to have for your replica fetishs....
