  1. ...besides, I think that aquiring Belgium would have been "at buyers risk" !
  2. I read a bit more about the belgian history, to catch the background of these feelings : my head hurts now ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Belgium Mmm...one can't live with Past to dictate today's acts... Otherwise, I would hate Germans, English, Spanish etc....
  3. I hope to have some with Monsieur St
  4. 68 + 19/2 (I bought two watches), i.e. 77,50 USD shipped E.U... I know I'm wandering a lot in this cheaper field, but there ae definitely nice things for less than 100 bucks, for sure. One has just to hunt them. And that's why I find iOffer and CQout so fun. It does not mean I'm not dreaming on all these expensive things
  5. Complex problem, and seeing this from the outside, I would not go too much in the details of my personal opinion, as I don't live this situation daily. But I just would like to raise two things, same as in an other topic (although it was a different conversation) : - history is important and may not be forgotten, but it cannot be the everlasting excuse for today's and future behaviour - if the economically stronger regions of each and every country had to separate, we would be back to the middle-ages (or before), where even big cities were independant. Would this be an improvement ? I'm going to Brussels next week : hope I still can enjoy a Belgian Beer rather than "une bi
  6. Tech...aren't you seasick after a while with all these moving thingies..?!
  7. That makes all the fun to my eyes... I'd love a Tourbillon. They cost between 500 and 1000 dollars from dealers. So I can't imagine the Double Tourby's one (sound like a Kamasutra's chapter... )
  8. BTW, can the datewheel of the old 7750 be swapped easily ? And where can I buy one ?
  9. You're right, I won't go to the pub with that one BTW, I removed the stickers on the rotor, that was really "too much".
  10. Hi, waiting for my Lite HBB, I have to spend my time on a cheaper thingie in the meantime. I have just received a 68 dollars VC (bought on iOffer). Fantasy watch, somehow inspired by the VC Tonneau Tourbillons. As usual, the strap was nothing special, so I swapped it for an "old" passion : Ostrich...leg leather ! No dummy deatures, the Power-Reserve is working : as for my other VC, you get nice looking watches for a really inexpensive price (that one is some record). I like the classy style and for the first time I have gone for a tonneau shape (is that called barrel shape..?? ) The large mirror markers give the dial different colours, in accordance with your environment : that makes it looking very versatile. I hope you will enjoy, I tried to use the daylight only. There's one picture however where the lighting is a Photoshop filter. Otherwise, all is real...except the watch ! That one is dedicated to Mademoiselle V's father...I remember he's a VC fan
  11. Hi, can anyone comment on the quality of the rubber strap ? How's the feeling ? Soft, stiff, semi-stiff ? Does it take dust ?
  12. Today, my new Vacheron Constantin...
  13. Well, that would be great and I must say I'm touched by your opinion on my skills, although I think I'm far from the expertise of the other members you were thinking of. But I would be glad to participate in a project, whatever it is, with my humble capabilities So I'll happily accept your proposal and be the "amen" of the a.m. holy trinity...
  14. Good idea : everything related to nice watch pics can only make this place better.
  15. Hi folks, although it may sound crazy (old 7750), I ordered it. From the dealer who became my favorite one on iOffer. I'm posting his pics, showing that the watch was checked before shipment : I love this idea I know that you either love or hate the HBB. I have always loved it (bought a quartz version, which I resold immediately), but it was (and still is) really too expensive for me. The light idea was... a great idea. At least I hope so Let's review it upon receipt, in about one week maximum. I am secretely hoping that the swap with a gen 7750 is not too difficult. As I have the luck to be in touch now with a former watchsmith, who can do such operations for his good "old" friend I know already that the AR will be missing (black dial). But OK... 250 dollars
  16. AR is indeed missing somehow to make the VC perfect. I've the white one and would really enjoy AR. It's one of my favourites. So selling an upgaded version with AR would be a great thing. I am very disappointed by the pics which : - either don't show AR - or show it but really don't do the watch justive ; pretty bad for the one who wants to sell.
  17. I can't get bored looking at the SFSO pics... Definitely the rep of the year ??
  18. Do you mean violate MBK's intellectual property ? /off Topic - Yesterday I saw a broadcast about China : one guy needed 10 minutes to paint "The Sunflowers" from Vincent Van Gogh. He could paint it without the picture in front of him, as he did already 10 000 times ! And beside him was a small army of painters, painting the very same masterpiece, one was in charge of the petals, the other of the vase etc... They could produce 100 pieces a day... /end off topic @Narikaa : agreed about the Topic. But it also shows that Chinese copy anything that raise interest. ANYTHING.
  19. Thx for your time At the end, the purpose is to fit gen parts, isn't it ? I'd be curious about review of these clone's clones : if they are well finished and take gen parts, might be a good deal ?
  20. You're all right about the crowns...
  21. I did not like Panerai at the begining... I did not like The Patek Nautilus at the begining... I did not like Stephane at the begining... Just kidding, eh !
  22. A rep of a rep ? Isn't a copy of a MBK an MBK too ? What makes the MBK ? The place where it's manufacured ? Its quality ? Its compatibility with some gen parts ?
  23. Thx ! The sharpening tip was missing for me. I use Photoshop, but am a bit of an amateur with it. For the dust, I'm using the magic rubber. With your advices and Pug's one, I have noticed constant improvements in my pics, at least I think so. I'm really glad with that, as my favorite part in this hobby is to share the pics with you.
