  1. An other BUMP after I landed here while clicking your signature. I love your collection for both the watches and beautiful pics... I already (unsuccessfully) approached a dealer to know more about the Glassh
  2. It seems to be pre-order for the moment.
  3. Hi, just sent it back... I'm somehow bitter, as I liked it. But I just can't swallow the seconds flaw...
  4. I don't think I'll buy a Rolex soon, question of taste and personnality. But only idiots don't change their mind, so maybe one day... I must say that a PAM might probably join the collection. I wasn't a fan at the beginning, but after all reading and trying one on my wrist, I thought I would probably bear wearing one And true, once you own a bit more of these timekeepers, you also try to have as different things as possible. That's also a reason for collecting. It'll most surely be a 40 mm one, and I won't go for modding or watever, except the strap. PP and VC are definitely superb dressy watches, not only these. The copy of the Lemania movement is a pure beauty.
  5. Hi, well you can go for the Asian 7750 and have it serviced by The Zigmeister, that will make the (reliable) watch for less than 550... But still far too expensive. As written before, prices are getting crazy... Or better said, manufacturers/dealers are.
  6. Hi, just for fun. I received this message today, Idon't know why he insisted. Most happy for him... The Mont blanc general manager verified the rep himself and did not see any flaw. I must be som kind of idiot...
  7. Timeshare, get a leather strap of 24mm, it will fit : half a mm both sides is easy to insert, as leather is flexible. Better to go one size over, whereas if you take 22, it will be noticeable. Look at my Festina in my collection (see signature), it's also 23mm at lugs. I've put a 24 mm strap for Panerai. Do you spot anything ?
  8. The Zigmeister, do you see any good reason why the 7750 was chosen against a Swiss ETA or a common Asian 21J (as for the cheaper version) ? Thank you.
  9. Same movement as in my Breitling SFSO then... I will open it on the occasion. Thx The Zigmeister for the explanation. Except visual disturbance (and it is !), do you think this watch is likely to last more than a few monthes or is the supposed additionnal gear croocked or something ? For now it keeps exact time, so I think that it's actually working "normally". Besides I know an amateur watchsmith, and if such things are easy to fix, I'll ask him and hope he makes it for free or a beer I'm asking you because for the price I paid it, returning the thing will be expensive in comparison. I'm wondering if I'll live with it or negociate a discount with the seller and throw the watch when it's dead and get some better PAM. Thx for any hint/advice from anyone.
  10. The Zigmeister, I was secretely hoping you would pop up... Here 2 pics.
  11. Hi all, I have never really been looking for PAMs, but recently had a good opportunity to make my collection more complete for less than 100 dollars shipped. Well... Have a look here, and tell me what you think about the seconds at 9. The watch keeps perfect time. I've been told The Zigmeister said this may be normal. Please do not flame me about all flaws on the PAM, I know them Pix http://video.google.fr/videoplay?docid=1850115548517634040
  12. @Pug, that definitely makes me confident in purchasing one. I think I'll go for a honey or dark brown one... There are some for less than 30 euros shipped from my usual suppliers. @Zed : can you tell me your lotion's name to get more hairs on my wrist ? I find 38mm to be a perfect size for dressy watches. Of course, when it comes to SS bracelets or chronos, it's better to go for a 40mm or more. Also, for the buckle problem, purchasing XS straps might help. Most straps advertized for Panerai are short ones. I bought these for my Montblanc and Festina and it's just perfect.
  13. I bought it from Trustytime. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Breitling-Steelf...ean-t25457.html Well, it seems than for a while you could only get the Steelfish from the so-called Cartel (4 dealers). Things seem to be changing. I was delivered within less than a week.
  14. Fantastic strap ! There's nothing better than genuine alligator (or at least a good copy). For me, until now all leather straps from reps have revealed to be crap. That was a good excuse to choose myself all dresses for my watches
  15. Which colour ? I'm also thinking about buying a leather strap. I bought the SS as it was the same price and I was not sure how the leather one would look like on my wrist. BTW, how's the quality of the leather ? I received 2 SS bracelets, lucky no ? Please have a look to the trade section, as I won't keep both.
  16. I forgot the basic things, sorry. I have what I consider to be a small wrist : 17,5 cm (6,8 inches) I hesitated a while before buying a "large" watch, as I usually go between 38 and 42 mm diameter (that's why I'm avoiding Panerai to date, but I'm looking for a 40mm one). The dial of the Steelfish is pretty small compared to its overall diameter, so visually it's not as large. I chose the SS bracelet as it's more wrapping the wrist (at least it's my feeling). I did the same when I bought my Tag SLR. And I feel the solution is not bad.
  17. Updated 5th may. - My new Breitling Steelfish Super Ocean - Withdrawn Trias 2 dials - Updated overview
  18. OK, understood the question. Then, yes, centered, but no, not aligned...
  19. No, obviously not. I haven't noticed it until I took this picture. Well, I remember reading from Seadweller4000 that the pearl was not perfectly aligned too. Same on yours ?
  20. True ! But you can't notice it by naked eyes in fact. That was the very precise reason for my choice on the white. I think you can't regret the purchase of this watch. Let's just see how the movement will last. Thx both for your comments, I always enjoy reading someone like the pics I spent some time to take, just for pleasure.
  21. Hi, well, everything has been said about this fantastic watch, maybe a little bit less about the cheaper version, which I remind you has : - an Asian movement at 28800 bph, that makes the seconds hand sweep really smoothly - no AR coating - there's currently a doubt (from my side at least) if it has a mineral (as advertized) or sapphire crystal (see this thread) So I won't make any review, as there has been several and enough, especially that excellent one from Seadweller4000 I just would like to share some shots of my new toy. And I can tell you it's going to have a lot of wristtime ! I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do. Of course, any question welcome.
  22. What's your feeling about these pics ? First is my TAG SLR. Advertized by some dealers as mineral, and by others (TT and PC) as synthetic sapphire. The drop stays, but it looks opaque looked at a certain angle. Then the Breitling. Drop stays, no yellowish or dirt effect. On a 90 degrees angle I have a loupe (magnifying glass) effect, so I can't really see the dial anymore, but it does not look yellowish/dirty at all. Maybe that's due to the 5 mm crystal thickness. So, is it sapphire ? Hey...The more I look at it, the more I can't believe its price... Did you notice the drops have not the same shape ?
  23. Yes, I know indeed that the dealers announce "thick mineral". I had no doubt until I made this water drop test. Generally when an information is wrong, it's never in that way. But who knows ? It's probably in the dealer's interest to have both models as different as possible, and convince the buyer to choose the 300+ dollars model. It's already the exact same case, dial and bracelet. The official differences are the movement (most important), AR coating (very sexy feature) and sapphire/mineral. But is it productive to use different parts ? Let me be naive and hope that in fact we got sapphire. I read once something with the color to make the difference. I don't find where anymore.
  24. Then, Hublot Big Bang with black ceramic bezel.
