  1. WOW what an a-hole . .

I hope the dealers can get together to stop selling to people like this . .

Imagine NOT being able to buy watches!!! :(:(

    Dear guys,

This morning, I had woken up to find a PAYPAL complaint from what I should call a seasoned member in the forum. He bought a watch, Breitling Bentley GT (BLUE) on 8 JULY and then on 10 JULY requested me to change to a Burgundy Dial for him. Because of that, I had to take the package back from the freight forwarder and repacked for him and after which item was shipped out to him.

15 JUL - He received the watch but the Date Window was not aligned nicely. Emailed me to do an exchange which I gladly compromised with after some talks about finding a local watchsmith to do the job did not work. I have always been patient and dealt with all customers tactfully.

He shipped the watch back to me in China for replacement. Item reached us on 24 JUL and I had to sent to maker for a brand new exchange. It had to take a couple of days. I emailed him to advise that item will be shipped out in a couple of days. This is what I got back from him in the next email:

what's going on? do you think i'll need to file a complaint now with paypal?

At this moment, I was about to return from China and flight was delayed 4 hours at China, Website was down with SQL errors and I had to make sure eveything was ok and worse of all, my BlackBerry died on me.. battery went flat. 28 JUL - I emailed him for shipping address to check so I can send out the package soon. I told him I had always have good dealings with the members in here and this is how he answered me..

I only care about about how you handle my transaction..... not how you handled your transaction with others. I don't care about what they say about you. And you know my shipping address.

I'll give you a couple more days.....

I felt that he was trying to threaten me over the whole transaction. I had actually shipped out the item yesterday for him but this morning, when I saw the PAYPAL complaint, I am fuming mad and very very disappointed in such a business dealing. I had given him a FULL REFUND. Period

I will not deal with such a customer whom I went all out to please...change the Blue for Burgendy Dial and then reship another piece for him for replacement and in the end get insults and also threatening email. I do not need this one business to keep me alive.

I rest my case. If you see this post, please email me. I will ALSO FULLY REFUND the shipping fees you sent for the Breitling back to China... Call it quits. Thanks!

*Just a note. FULLY REFUNDED35 for shipping. Should be more than enough for you. I have asked my guys to retrieve the package for the Breitling from the freight forwarder!!

  2. Great Post Overboosted . . . :3a:

Similar situation here. I've always loved watches and mechanics so when I bought my first Mechanical watch it was all over (Or all starting, depending on how you look at it!) My first fake was a (Quite bad) Sub from a pawn shop in hollywood, then off of fakes to affordable autos (Seikos etc). I spent many days longing for fakes with the quality of Seikos, so finding RWG1 and the dealers here was a glorious occasion. It's funny to see that quite a few of us are in a buying lul just waiting for *something*. I think what I'm waiting for is a really good AP . . .

P.S. I could watch that diving bum avitar for hours . . .

Great to have you here Overboosted... I have always enjoyed your posts.. and sales.. :D

I have a similar experience with closing to over 100 watches so far..but having boiled down

my collection to my personal best, top ten.. and now am taking a break until something really

    outstanding wanders into our orbit...

Are you also getting to a point of an eclipse in your buying ?

Has your experience showed you exactly your personal style in watches ?

Mine has.. and what a valuable experience it has been....

If I ever do become a zillion-aire... I will know exactly what to purchase

without the slightest bit of buyers remorse... ^_^

  3. Hey JosePR . .

I've done some digging and all the T3's out there seem to be quartz :-(

If you don't mind that, att least they are cheap, er . . inexpensive. around $100 from what I remember.

    AP T3

but i need some reference and some investigation

other one i would like is the Hublot Big bang but i doubt i can find a rep

  4. :D:D

On first read I could have sworn you said you went to the bathroom and peed on it . . .

I'll have to say I've received some borderline stuff from some of the the hallowed dealers on this site.

It's the brutal backlash that prevents people (me included) from posting the facts here and the HUGE pain in the ass that prevents people from trying to get dealers to make good for flaws that are less than catastrophic.

It's a really tough call when you receive a watch that IS what you ordered but their is some stupid QC problem with it . . oh like hands that are bent up too far or wonky grinding on the crown guard . .

Well, I just went into the bathroom here at work and peeled the plastic partially off the crystal and guess what! It's MINERAL! The water didn't bead it spread out all over it.

He assured me it would be sapphire. Strike Three! :Jumpy:

I specifically asked, more than once and repeated myself clearly so that there would be no misunderstanding I wanted a solid sterile back, sapphire front. I get mineral front and glass back with panerai markings on rear - and to add insult to injury the strap it came with was defective.

We'll see what he says. I have to send him another email about the crystal now.

Anyone want to buy a watch? It's a quite nice watch if it's what you're after and you have other 26mm straps.

  5. While cruzing the net, usually when I'm looking for pictures of gens, I've noticed a hell of a lot of new-ish sites that look to be selling the same reps as our dealers.

Not that the prices are the same, or that I'd ever actually send money to any of these sites, but a few years back all the rep-for-sale websites had pictures of gens, OR pictures of some of the real garbage you'd get if you ordered. Now there seems to be a lot of sites with pictures of decent quality watches, some of them I've even recognised as the same ones our dealers carry.

Is this market really getting that big? That may be good for quality but you gotta think the swiss mafia is going to try and put an end to it someow . .

    *ramdom thoughts*

  6. Yup . . happens from time to time.

Jay will get it straightened out and his account will be able to accept payment again.

Remember to not cause him grief by putting anything watch/fake/rep in the paypal comments . . thats what causes these disruptions.

  7. Threads like these are a good reason to be into reps . . have you ever seen anything other than 'here's a picture of my new xxyyy' on Paneristi or the Timezone forums??

I love watches . . been into them for years. Did the nice-looking-but-quartz thing. . then discovered mechanicals in the form of Seiko 5s. The internet lead me to some AWFUL reps early on. I remember thinking if someone could just make reps that are Seiko 5 quality . . I don't even care if they are identical to the original, I just wanted them to keep time, look decent and perhaps keep the water out!

    After that foray a bought a gen . . Not a brutal expensive one, but a watch I really loved. . ( a Fortis)

Now as far as gens go, Fortis is a lot like Sinn . .. real bang for your buck in the swiss watch market.

Shortly after that I found RWG1 and I'd have to happen on to a real excess of cash to ever look back.

Now don't get me wrong . . I still have and love my Fortis, but when my first knock off Sub from one of our dealers arrives for just over $200, with the same damn movement, sapphire glass, VERY GOOD assembly quality and it keeps better time than the Fortis . . even reasonably priced swiss watches are a rip off, which is really too bad.

I think maybe the mild exception to this rule is the kick ass in house stuff from the likes of AP and Mille. You're just not going to get that stuff in a rep- ever. So if those places didn't play by the same inflated swiss rules and those watches were 10s of thou's instead of 100s of thous,, I might be into that.

As it is now . . hmm . . ultra exotic sports car or ultra exotic watch . . same price . . OK so there is a lot of technology and R&D in the AP Concept . . I have a feeling there is a little more in the Carerra GT!
