    New Ingy

I'd rather not post on the internet who i bought it from. This is just one guy's opinions/expectations and it's kind of one sided so take it fwiw. Update on the watch... I received the nylon strap and after about an hour of tinkering, it fits beautifully. It's a much tighter fit and although i liked the look of the bracelet, i like the strap even better. Absolutely night and day as far as fit and feel.

Oh well, i was told "This is a replica and of high standards but definitely not a genuine.. Please accept that it is a replica and cannot be PERFECT... For the Pin, you can use some locktite to get it fixed tight in. Thanks" I ordered the ingy nylon strap w/ deployment clasp the same time i ordered the watch and was hoping to be able to alternate. It hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully the strap will be a better alternative or can be rigged. Regardless, i'll loctite in the pin for the strap/bracelet i like best. Innacurate/misaligned date wheel, single ar, lousy lume, even innacurate crown guards on reps i can deal with. I can't imagine a fix for messed up lug holes. If the strap fits worse, I may have to grind down the 12 o'clock end link so so the other side is f-d up too because the watch wants to slide around my wrist. No hard feelings with the dealer over a $270 watch, even if the screw up is 100% due to poor workmanship, but this will be my last rep. I'll be saving for a gen 3717 or panerai. Thanks for your input. Hopefully this thread will help someone with regards to knowing another potential flaw to look out for.

Well, i tried the oil in the pin hole and where you depress the "button". No luck it keeps sliding out. I think the problem is caused because the lug holes are further away from the case, so the pin doesn't make contact with whatever is supposed to hold it in. Bummer.

That makes sense, thanks. This is the pin in the case. I'll try that if i don't get a replacement based on the lug holes.

Thanks guys. Just discovered another flaw and i'm not sure it's fixable. One of the endlink pins(if that's what their called) keeps sliding out a little. I discovered it isn't necessary to depress the button in the case to remove it...it just slides all the way out. Same lug that's has the misaligned(by almost half a mm) holes. Too bad, besides these flaws, it is a beaut.

    New Ingy

Apologies if i'm breaking any rules with this post... Just received my new ingy and it's a beauty in every way, except the bracelet doesn't hang evenly from the lugs. (pic attached). I was hoping the first link of one side of the bracelet was smoothed or drilled unevenly, but no such luck. The case holes on the lugs have not been drilled consistently. One set has been drilled farther from the case so there's a slightly larger gap between the case and first link on the bracelet. Before i contact my dealer...is this a known flaw that is on all ingy reps? Is this legit grounds in your opinions to ask for a replacement? Thanks for any input.
  7. Nice review, nice looking watch. Just curious if the crown screws in smoothly. I think i'm down to 1 or 2 threads on my UPO and read the same factory may have made this aquatimer.
  8. What is pa6? I'm only familiar with pa6 being polyamide i.e. nylon. For what it's worth, i read a review on the ingenieur at timezone and the author's main complaint about it is the softer SS(or process) iwc apparently used. Maybe the rep manufacturers should be commended on going above and beyond to deliver a more accurate rep. "The Ugly-- I've saved this one for last because (for me, anyway) it is the most significant negative. The watch is a real ding and scratch magnet. It seems the steel they use is softer than other watches I own and its height seems to lend itself to banging the watch into things. I'm more conscious of this watch than others that I own in this regard. Even the caseback has scratches from rubbing against the SS bracelet. Nothing that can't be polished out, but annoying nonetheless. " http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tre...ev=&reveal=
