I just wanted to give my best to all members/supporters and the "staff" with families here on RWG.
I have stocked up for the christmas, with one from each of our great Norwegian Christmas Beer Editions, and all presents are bought in.
I also want to thank promotersf for the great 192 he sent me. I recived it today, and it's nothing but stunning. A great watch to wear with my suit for Christmas Eve. His shippment and service due to his sales were great.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and as I will go offshore on work in scotland over New Years, this might be my only chance to wish you a Happy New Year 07/08.

If you want to be extremely stupid and call it a gen watch and end up paying export tax on full retail. I marked the parcel with watch for repair, like many of us do, and like i've always done. The problem however is that if custom wants they can then charge VAT on it which gets returned when watch gets back. Obviously they can't know if the watch is gen or replica, but when you write a small value on the export papers to save the poor soul that's supposed to receive it in the other end, the officers wonder why they find a $3000 watch in there. And beleive me, they know a lot more about watches than you think.
Dumb question.. how does customs know if our watches are reps ? Are they watch gurus and can tell in split second ? You need official papers ? They just guess and if you don't say otherwise, they get ya' ? They have a rep seeking dog that can sniff out reps from 30m ? Our watches start ticking and they think its a bomb, and when they find out it isn't, they take it anyways.. ? Its christmas and the customs guys are looking for gifts for their family and friends ?? -
I have made many deals between countries and have never had any major problems. Some how a customs officer wanted to give me a terrible christmas
I made a deal with my 3717, and sent it the day after from my home city in Norway. I kept an eye on the parcel like I always do and to my surprise it just stopped in Oslo. I contacted the customs and they told me the content was not declared and they could not send without proper papers of ownership. I guess this is my first encounter with the strickter export/import laws that were passed for Norway the 1th of September this year (especially made for counterfeit goods.)
Anyhow, I told them today to just send it back to me, and I guess they will at my own expence. I go to Scotland once or twice a month due to work, so I offered my customer in England that I send it from there asap.
This is just a warning and I also ask if you were my customer, would you accept that the proceed as a do? I don't want to hurt anyones feelings and especially now during christmas. Even though the Norwegian custom office did!
(For ref the customer will probably get his watch with in the next 2-3 weeks. Sorry for the trouble and I hope you understand that I'm sorry for this.)

WTF? Sure there are some differences: script, clip, sharp rings etc. My uncle owns a gen Starwalker and let me tell you... NO ONE can tell the difference from 3 feet away!
We are talking about 15 bucks for a nice MB rep (which takes gen refills with a slight mod BTW).....that's like 3 beers in a bar... I prefer the MB
In norway that's one beer in a bar;)
-
Haha, yes i mean re-factory owner,,,................but something sick inside me says I would like to be just that. And I would most serenely have one ofr those watches. Just because I could
-
Did someone say BLING BLING?
That's the kind of thing you buy when you own a factory were children work for a dime a day.

Stavanger Regional Court in Norway tried a lawsuit by Louis Vuitton against a norwegian man, and settled it in favour of the latter.
The man came home from Thailand carrying six fake Louis Vuitton bags, and 5 sets of 25 Mulberry bags. They were confiscated by norwegian customs, and reported to LV who decided to sue for an unknown amount.
The man claimed the bags were not meant for resale and were supposed to be christmas presents for female aquaintances.
The court decided in favour of the traveller stating:"for the time being he's got no business activity that can be traced back to fakes and replicas, and hereby does not exploit LV's trademark".
The principal in this ruling is warranting that you can import whatever you like to norway in terms of copied goods, as long as you don't plan to sell it for profit.
Controversy is added through this man's prior conviction for importing and reselling a substantial amount of pirate copied products.
Needless to say, LV is annoyed by the ruling and says norway is setting the fight against trademark infringement back 10 years.
Kristine M. Madsen of NACG (Norwegian Anti-Counterfeit Group) claims the verdict is appalling, and that her organisation will put pressure on the norwegian government to turn things around.

Haha, sweet. Now I just need to pay my creditcard bills so that I can start buying again;)

Great view of good old Benal......Torrequebrada Casino in the distance and the heady high rises of Arroyo de la Miel.....I get that view every morning on the way to the office in Mijas.
Nice;) I go to Mijas everytime im down there. Nice place to ride up on the scooters to have a late lunch. My summerhome is in the middle of Arroyo, certainly a great place. I go 3-4 times every year. The picture is taken from the towers up on the mountains between Mijas and Benalmadena, a fantastic view. I bet your office view is more like this:

I just used two toothpicks and the push+press method described over. This way you don't scratch the metal and it should slide out real easy. In my opinion this is the easiest and way best bracelets to adjust. However if one has a slow sunday and nothing to do, do it the hard way And I do appreciate all pictorals
-
@Nebakanezzar: That's what I said as well, the bracelet is an addition to the rubber band and it's even more expensive in norway, the listed price is more like $1500. So it's not going to be a gen for me
My point throughout this whole thred, sorry if that wasn't clear, was that now that I see aquatimers with the bracelet, how hard would it be to make endlinks that fit the CD rep?? And I thought there were many owners out there that actually wanted it. But apperantly not. Thanks for feedback though
-
@swemoose, yes as I explained wouldn't that just be the endlinks on the Aquatimer that would be needed to be changed in order to make it fit?
-
It may well exist but I have seen 3-4 CD's at 2 different AD's (both 2007 and 2006) and none came with a bracelet. As was previously posted the bracelet is IMHO more critical for the Aquatimer.
I've never seen any CD''s with SS and understand that the Aquatimer is more critical, but I just thought others would be interested in making the CD a more heavyduty and eyecathing watch. The rubber is kind of boring IMHO But I guess you all feel different. It's still completes my 5 "superreps" collection. (IWC3717,PAM111,PAM177,AP ROO MBW,IWC CD 2006 ----> Got rid of the others now I'm down to quality b4 cuantity)
-
I do not think for the CD is a bracelet in GEN available !?
For the AT there is, but not CD.
According to my local AD it is available on an ss bracelet, obviously as a addition to the rubber. (I guess the original would loose some of it's value if you changed out the rubber, it's a limited edition, right....) The Aquatimer bracelet should be an easy fix, but with other endlinks, shouldn't it?
Is nobody else interested in this? The original bracelet is more expensive than my vaction was this year, so that's out of the question!!
Cheers

Whatever happened to the bracelet for my CD? I really really want the bracelet for it, it's a great watch (I have the swiss version) but it dosen't get as much wristtime as my bracelet watches. Someone was talking about it months ago, but then people just stopped requesting it??
Anyone?
(P.S I've kept off the site recently because of economic situataion at the time. haha, just to many temptations
-
I use it to time my parking time when I'm out shopping;)
-
Nice to get to know how to actually fit the bracelet. I just went ahead and used brute force. Still took me more than an hour, but got the sucker on. I guess it will be a pain to get it off again on my part, but as I love the look that don't bother me right now.
Wear them well and have a noce day
-
Haven't received it yet, I will update you on this when it gets here. But I have tried other 22 mm bands on it and they're no problem getting on, but a little bit thight getting off
-
Thank you so much Can't wait to get it on the watch...
I ordered one there now, and also finally found one on ebay that looks pretty damn good, got that as well (Search for: US_MILITARY Nato) Love the metalt rings on the strapholes.
-
The Nato looks awsome. I've tried my 20 mm Nato to get a feeling of how it looks, but it's obviously too smal. I've been searching ebay for a thick black nato but can't find one, only the ultrathin ones. Yours look awsome, can you please share where you got it.
I love this watch and just got one from PT. The leather strap looks way too girly on my wrist though and the bracelet is not too good for work. So please PM me:)
-
Love it love it love it:)
You got all my favorites, great pictures.

QUOTE: Anyone ever been caught depositing couterfeit money at a bank (or anywhere for that matter, including McDonald's)? They confiscate it - plain and simple, just take it from you. Imagine if you took your shiny new Carrera replica to a Tag dealer to be resized and you run into a guy who resents the whole replica subculture, grows a set of balls and says "This is fake" and tosses it in the trash bin behind the counter and then threatens to call the cops if you don't leave his store. What do you do?
I'd jump over the counter and beat the living [censored] out of the guy

Haha, yes looks kind of like I don't have a girlfriend, but I had to trow all the other stuff onto the topshelf where my steaks and different types of spannish hams usually belongs. Just to get a picture I'm actually taking the moet to a christmas party today so I need to restock when I got to Scotland again;)
