  1. Servicing an AP Offshore: $1200

Servicing a Blancpain Flyback Chrono: $1000

Refinishing a RO bracelet: $400 by AP Clearwater

    Servicing by The Zigmeister: $100-$175

    You do the math. :D

Ouch ouch ouch!! Really?? How long does it take to service a watch? Let say three hours, that $400 an hour. That is already a lawyers rate.

  2. No offense guys, but is there anything to talk about a gen piece? None. You buy it, you show it off,,,ooohh great looking expensive watch, and that is it. But if you buy a rep, there are a lot of things to talk about, like ooohh oohh your cg's are no good,,aaahh my cg's are better and on and on and on :p

I think this is the reason why gen owners are here. There are a lot folks here that own expensivo gen watches.

  3. well my friends...i would have one question for all of you including dealers...

what is the problem on the PAM092 arktos about the letters (N, E, S, W) falling off?

i tought to buy one cause it is not that expensive with the asian mvt, and it looks great...

but the fact that some of you complained about letters falling off makes me think...

should i buy it or not? is there some solution to prevent this thing about letters falling off?

    tnx

You just have to control your twitches and shivers about this watch my friend. This is the very first version we are talking about. Flaws are expected. I will wait for the next version,,,or the 3rd,,,or 4th maybe if I can still hold myself :p

    .

  4. go with homer's version, except from the bezel insert, its spot on.

the tube accepts a genuine crown. and the CG needs no modding at all. only new insert.

I agree 100%. Perfect review of Homer's red/black GMT II. Only mod needed is the insert,,,,,,,,,,big "IF" this is still the same stock he had last year. I mean the older version with the wrong handstack.

  5. Is there any advantage to having a plastic movement retainer over a metal one, or vice versa?

I do not think there is an dvantage between plastic and metal, It is just me, anal,,,you know :p

Seriously....I have three watches that I recieved not working at all. All the problems pointed to the plastic retainer. They were not properly seated when the caseback was closed that it was binding with the movement. I have to open the caseback and re seat the plastic inside. Where as if it is the metal retainer, it will not close if not seated properly. Just my experience.

  6. Wow, I like to know how to cuz I have one comming just like this. Is there no spring arround the inside of the bezel that look like the inside of a sub bezel?? I really thouth it is like a sub bezel. I hope yours is not factory error.
