  1. After waiting several weeks for an international stock sale to go through, I'm finally flush with enough cash to start buying reps!

I'll be starting out with the most excellent 063 rep that EL has, as well as a 111h swiss with swan from Trusty. Likely to sample a SS IWC as well. I will also be indulging myself in several straps - bony croc, europelli baseball, etc.

Could anyome please be kind enough to give me tips on what to do on using pp with a checking account?

    Thanks in advance!

Get a debit card for your checking account. You do not want PP to have access your bank account.

  2. Got this nice 5517 from Joshua, but I don't like NATO straps, so I cobbled an old el-cheapo folded link rep strap from my junk box onto it's solid links, and really prefer the great retro look this produces...

I really would prefer to find a riveted link bracelet that would be more "timely" for the head, but I need one that'll reach around my 8" wrist!!....Any suggestions??

I have a 5517 from Josh that I would like to replace with a riveted SS band. I thought the bar is sodered in, not a springbar that you can remove. Can it be rmoved and rplace with a springbar?

  3. Personally, I think Panerai are just as dull as Rolex. There is nothing really exciting about either. Both brands have a line of watches that really have no design variance. You seen one PAM, you've pretty much seen them all. Same with Rolex.

Oh no Ubi. I tend to disagree with you. Have you seen a PAM that look like this? :whistling:

    Or this? :yu:

  4. It certainly is of the Miyota design, but in the first picture there appears to be a crown under the balance, which is the trademark of a chinese watch movement company. It may not be manufactured by the Miyota company.

Yes this is a Chinese copy of the Miyota 8125.

  5. Hello everybody! I live in Thailand and have recently become interested in replica watches. But with all the scammers and different qualities I would have lost interest if it wasn't for you guys. So thanks for this great place and for sharing your knowledge.

    Now to my question:

I just bought a Submariner LV and the dealer told me it has a Myota movement. Can someone help me identify this movement. Also, is there any place/site I can use as a reference (with pictures) for identifying different movements as I don't want to bother you guys everytime I buy a new watch. I'm totally into replicas now and want to learn as much as possible.

    Thanks,

    Tony

This is the Miyota 8125. I have one of this that is more than a year now and still very accurate. I like this movement, simple and cheap.

  6. Davidsen has very nice dials, I have two myself but there are some things to check first. His dials may be too large for your case, I had to trim my dial down about 1 mm. Not an impossible task, but if you take too much off you can't put it back. I would also check to see if the dial feet are in the same place.

Oh boy,, what tool do you need to trim a dial? Is ti the thickness, or the circumference?
