I might pick up one.  Not sure though.  I don’t mind winding a setting a watch after it’s been sitting in the case for a while. 

Also, I’ve read that leaving on the winder can wear the watch out faster??

Does Breitling use standard eta datewheels in their eta based movements or do they have a custom font?

Hey guys.  I’ve gathered up my gen parts but quick question.   Is it ok if I use a gen crystal with AR?   I know it’s not period correct but I’m sure there are gen 16610’s our there that have been serviced and had crystals replaced.  Right?

or does RSC replace with non ar crystal?

Hi guys,   I’ve tried most of the TD’s over be years but was wondering who you thought had the best overall QC?    

Not talking about speed of shipping, website interface etc.  

just best QC...

How long does the process take with them like shipping and posting the watch do they do it the next day or does it take a few days for them to post it out

About 7  days from order to delivery.  They shipped dhl. 

 

 

Try to curve the tips a little bit on the top. That way it snap closed before putting the flip lock

 

This worked great!   Save me $1000 and frustration in almost buying a gen bracet.

Yes but it doesn’t matter as it will be getting a full movement service and gen datewheel

 

I used a TC clasp for mines because I had it but I didn't have any issues with my other JF when I was using it. Whats your issue with the clasp?

It’s just pretty rough.  Doesn’t want to stay closed all the way etc.  gen clasps are outrageously priced so i May just keep it 

 

It is worse. The 3135 and 3135 clone fit loosely in the case. You have use really long movement tabs and bend them in a weird shape to secure the movement in the case. The JF is much better in this regard plus it is engraved between the lugs.

 

I have this same version in transit to me. After owning 3 of these JF's and going crazy on one build upgrading damn near everything from the dial, crystal and insert, crown etc.., I have found that for me, the only upgrades this needs is a gen datewheel and a gen insert. Everything else is good enough for me.

What do you do for the clasp?

Thanks for the heads up!   The rep clasp is terrible so I at least need to upgrade that.  

Any experts chime in on how much better a tc v7 case is on a build like this vs the JF 16610?

I’ll be using this as my base for a modded/semi Franken with Meiskiped 

JF 16610 (no rehaut engraving) with SH3135 base watch as pictured.
