  1. Ever since a salesperson insisted I try this on a few months ago, it's pops in my mind every couple days or so. It's definitely beyond what I can afford but I just found it stunning. Any idea who makes this movement? Who makes the watch for that matter? It's a retrograde chronograph...so much fun watching it go.

  2. @Slai: Isn't the PAV 91 just the BEST?

I love it! When I first received it, I was actually a little underwhelmed...the more I wear it, the softer it gets, and the better it looks. Yippee for Elliot's specials. :D I really want a rose gold Radiomir to put it on now...I think that combo would be incredible except for the non-matching buckle.

  3. I decided to stop carrying the Cousteau for all the reasons stated above.....whilst I can cherry pick a good one......the lack of QC continuity meant that for every 10 I looked at...I could only pickout perhaps two that were OK.....not a good ratio.....I sold in total about 8-9 of them...and none have come back but I have no confidence in the mechanics of the bezel......from the first to the last samples all have failed to impress me therefore I won't stock them......not when there are great reps such as the Ferrari or even the latest Corum....beautiful and reliable.....no Cousteaus for me...!

This is precisely the reason I decided to get my Cousteau from you instead of another dealer. Tremendously happy with it, especially after The Zigmeister worked his magic.

  4. I wasn't planning on entering the contest at all but during a slow Friday night, just decided to take a few pics of the Cousteau. After giving a friend a ride to the airport today, I was inspired to take a pic of the 3717 as well. I like how they turned out given my little point and shoot camera and lack of PS skills.

Both watches received the The Zigmeister treatment.

  5. The ads were right

There was no need to walk in wearing my four stripes.

There was no need to say I had 65000 lbs of thrust at my hands.

There was no need to impress with flight jargon.

There was no need to speak the language of the locals.

I just need to look the part.

  6. All I have is a dinky P&S cam but what the hell. Just noticed there's a short story requirement so I added a little story.

    A misguided photgraphic tribute

The Cousteau Divers watch...a tribute to one of the greatest oceanographers - his entire life devoted to the study and preservation of the briny deep. Now, set amongst pine cones and candles, the Cousteau Divers watch lies among elements completely alien to Jacques-Yves. Nothing can be farther from the great coral reefs of the world teaming with bright and colourful life. Cousteau would be turning in his grave. The Calypso could be the name of a rubber ducky as far as this misguided photographer has understood. The magnitude that this photograph has missed the proverbial boat is truly startling.

  7. @ slai,

Great picture, glad you like the results, I am happy as well, enjoy.

Some say his eyes glow like Superluminova C3...

Some say his head only turns in one direction when he swims...

We simply know him as The Zigmeister

(I hope someone picks up the Top Gear Stig reference) :D
