  1. I just finished watching Rambo and sly's daylight has REALLY made me want a Panerai again.

I used to have a Davidsen 177h and absolutely loved it but had to sell it cause I had too much $$ in watches. Anyway, I live at a lake (half the year) and enjoy swimming quite a bit. So I thought I would get a rubber strap to put on to swim with and just wear around.

My question is, are there any WR Panerai's out there from our dealers? I know that the o-rings can be greased up and/or it can be done, however, I was hoping to find one straight out of the box. Is the crown a big problem for leakage? Anyone have any suggestions or watches for sale :D ??

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Well, I caught my eye on the Chrono Superocean and had to have one!

Just got it today and I couldn't be happier!!! This thing was impossible to photograph though, so my photos don't do it any justice at all.

The polished bracelet is amazing and the attention to detail is unparrallel. I do have to say that after having the SOSF (which I just sold yesterday), it is amazing how good the replica's are. You can definitely tell the difference when you have them both in person, but DAMN the reps are good.

I am going to pick up a navy diver strap for it from the AD this weekend, then its off to the beach in a few weeks. We'll see how she holds up in the Pacific!!

Tried to get as good of photo's as I could... but I'm not photographer :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Enjoy!

  3. not sure about others, but i've been having a blast with my $300-400 reps of $5-10k watches :Jumpy:

when the rep has a quality ETA movement and is barely discernable from the real thing, i just can't reasonably make myself spend an extra $1,000 just so i can rest easy knowing its a genuine breitling. in my mind, what is there really to worry about? we get better (and cheaper) aftermarket service from our collectors than lots of ADs.

    just my $0.02,

    deltatahoe

While I hear this point alot, I have to admit, the extra 1,000 is worth it to me to sleep well at night knowing I have a gen, not wonder if someone is thinking its fake while im wearing it, being able to go to an AD and feel good about myself, etc...

But some just say I have issues.....

Cant wait for my gen Omega SMP Chrono to get here though!!

  4. Looks like it has a few bumps and knocks, as you would expect from a second hand watch. Is that a bit of card stuck in the case back, or a heavy scratch? Also the datewheel is misaligned too.

I think the price is OK, nothing special for the condition the watch is in. It's not "mint" by what I would think the definition of the word means. The watch looks re-finished.

    Cheers :D

I believe thats the piece of wax in there to show the watch caseback has never been opened, but i could be wrong.

As far as condition goes, I agree.. definitely not mint, and nothing special, but seems like a decent deal

  5. Alright, so I have been looking to pick up a gen SMP Chrono, and I have come accross a pretty good deal, but I wanted to know your opinions on it.

It's a Omega Seamaster Chrono 2599.80, is supposidly in "mint" condition and includes all papers, etc and its going for $1500.

Here are some pics, please let me know if you think this is a good deal. It sounds like a great deal to me, but something just makes me a little skeptic.

  6. LOL..

I had a co-worker say the same thing to me.

I was wearing my new SOSF and they were like "Ohh how nice and big... but it's not as nice as those rolex's that go around without ticking like yours"

    Mother F&*ker... my SOSF isn't ticking.. -_-

  7. Depends on the potential. One night stand....an impressive replica and a condom. Potential relationship...a genuine...no sense starting out a meaningful encounter with a lie. Save those up for afternoons on the golf course.

LOL that's pretty good stuff.. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

But you also make some good points. It's the "Cash McMogulson" effect (I hope some of you have had the chance to read his chronicles.....if not......google them). If its a one night stand with say... a couger... then your gonna want to put on your rolly YM or sub... something that she will recognize and immediately associate positively with (we hope!!).

On the other hand.. if its a nice lady, like say someone your mom set you up with (don't ask) then you might want to go with something a little more restrained like a FA Jones, Porto, etc.

If you don't want to start with a lie, like crystalcranium said, start out with a gen....however, I don't consider wearing a rep a lie. It's just a matter of taste.

I personally, on a first date, would wear this:

    :whistling:

In all seriousness.. I'd go with the Omega Chrono. Not because of the date or anything, but just because its my favorite watch!!

  8. 100% correct!!! The US government has been putting preasure on the asian countries to clean up their act in regards to intellectual property. I would venture to guess this is part of a sweep aimed at keeping diplomatic relations with the US positive. I'm sure the government over there could really give a [censored], but they have to throw Bush a bone until it blows over. Just like in the HBO series "The Wire". They had to show "dope on the table"..........................

LOL I Really hope your joking.

  9. if I'm at Vegas and an 18-year old is wearing a PM Daytona and buying in at a 10-dollar table I'm going to assume the watch is fake. Now I wouldn't make an issue of it, but it's just common sense.

LOL that's hillarious. It just so happens that I was out in Vegas last weekend with my good buddy who happens to have a bad ass gen Daytona. We are only 23 (family with money) but we were holding down the $10 tables all night. I know he got a few looks, but whatever, you just never know...

  10. I recently read an article about incomes in China, Shanghai and other Asian countries.

    Then it hit me!

Let's say a dealer here on the board sells 10 watches every day (I know they have more channels to sell their watches and they probably sell more) but let's say on average 10 per day.

I also read in the Guangzhou report (here on RWG) about the $95 Rolex Daytona .... so let's say that the average profit on a watch is $100,- (and again I know it's a lot more).

    If we do the math:

10 watches * $100 = $ 1000 (each day!) .....* 25 days (taking into account some days off  ) = $25,000!!!! Compare that against the average monthly income in China (around $100~150 max.).

And don't forget this is an underestimation. Personally I think the monthly income could also easily hit the $100,000

With this kind of money involved I do think our dealers are millionaires (even if it's only relative).... they earn an average monthly salary with one watch!

What do you guys think?.... thoughts, insides, opinions?

LOL.. I'm sure it's already been said, but I'm not in the mood to look through all the pages to find out...

You need to remember the whole "revenue" vs. "profit" issue. Now I'm not saying that they pay a lot for the watches, but they obviously don't "make" 25k a month in profit...

  11. I'm sorry your majesty that I didn't kiss your ass. It's normally bad fashion to post prices that are by request only everywhere out on the boards. Go find out from King yourself now, and wait 24 hours. By the way, adding the word "[censored]" here and there doesn't really show intelligence (or maturity for that matter) there my man. (And no, using short forms like WTF and * symbols to mask the word doesn't count)

    auiawyeabdcasabncsacnjackasswioeuwqncjhcasipopsajs

LOL, loser.. I'm not trying to show "intelligence" or "maturity" with you. I'm just trying to tell you to stop being a [censored] and let us know the price. As you can see, 16 pages in, people are anxious to know about the watch. <_<

  12. Guys, King has this watch available for sale officially. I've had her price it, and the price is very good, definitely in line with Asian 7750 reps ($30 premium or so). PM me to find out the price quickly. I've just ordered it. :)

WTF? Why would you tell us to PM you about the price? Just F*cking tell us....

  13. you are on crack if you think this will be less than $300.

I figure $350 - 400 would be a good price....if all the issues are fixed.

    but $500 is toooo much!

Principle rules of supply and demand buddy...

so far A LOT of members have expressed that $500 is too much. So if there is no demand for the watch at that price, none will sell, price comes down... you get it....

Well same comes true for me at $300. I know a few people will pick it up, but I won't, and if enough don't, price comes down..... :thumbsupsmileyanim:
