What does a "full mod package" mean? Is that something one can buy as an option to the regular watch?

Hmm.. I am wondering about Josh's "full mod" package as well??? I'd love to get a superlumed, canon fix, water proof, etc watch without having to send off for mods..

Really? Weird.. Mother's Day in the US isn't till May....

So I looked a little, but didn't see much information on the new credit card processing Josh and trusty will be doing. Is anyone else besides me a little worried about using your credit card to purchase reps? Is this completely safe?

First, I feel a little uncomfortable, with all the customs issues lately, leaving a paper trail (a long and easily spotted one at that) behind me on every purchase. I know that paypal was very similar, but I just feel like it is easier (maybe not??) Secondly, as much as I trust our dealers (and I do ALOT) I still just haven't stomached putting my credit card out there. As it is they use the "cookie-cutter" software, and I have no idea how easily hacked their sites are.

So to sum it up, I am not trying to say its not safe or that I know anything more about the topic than anyone else, I was just throwing it out there for discussion to see if anyone else was having the same hesitations/thoughts as I was......

I am also confused if we are talking about the colour of the lume on NUMBERS or the colour of the TEXT...

I was referring to the color of the lume on the numbers. The reason I put the pic up was to show how the Panerai text looked compared to the lume color on each. I have compared the text colors and they are pretty similiar, so you can see from my crappy pic the lume and text on the gen are pretty close to the same, and on the rep, the font is way lighter (whiter) than the numbers...

Make sense??

By-Tor - I have seen better from you... that pic has some noise on the dial

Don't worry my friend.. In most 183 gen pictures the colour looks like white but I have handled one in my AD and it is more yellowish than is seems.

It is a real mystery to me why it looks white in photos.. maybe a mixture of C3 and C1? But Panerai only buys C3 for their watches so I dont understand...

OK, so I was just looking through some gen pics, comparing to my new (well to me new) 183g. I noticed that all the gen pics I find have really white numbers and hands (lume) and mine is a yellowish tint.

Can anyone tell me if this is because my why this is? Is it because my watch has been superlumed?

EDIT: I have updated it to include this really horrible picture comparison. You can't see mine that clearly but you can compare the text "Panerai" and "Radiomir" to the color of the font

You know what one of the greatest things about reps (and the community) is..... It has made all of us more aware of the differences in gen's and rep's and has allowed us to help others, who are about to throw down 3k, save themselves.

So you can't say the rep scene is ALL bad for everyone, we save a lot of people a lot of hassle and money!!! Keep it up guys

Lol, so after reporting him, I send him a message letting him know of all the flaws, and the fact that I reported it. His response "I'm sorry about this watch was a gift, and I've had it checked. It's not a fake watch."

So I write him back with a link to a jpeg showing his watch with a pic of gen next to is, so that he can see how bad his watch really is. We are wateing on that e-mail now.

I've been seriously looking at the 45mm Ultimate Planet Ocean's lately to compliment by Beginmariner which I purchased recently. I love my Sub rep, but the one thing that I wish was better was the feel of the bracelet - it feels sharp. I know there are ways to sand/polish/grind this down and I'm testing things out with the links that I removed before destroying the ones currently attached to the case!

On to the Ultimate PO's - how is the bracelet 'feel' of these watches? Are they close to gen feeling, or are they too in need of 'adjustment'? I remember reading Andreww's review saying that the bracelet was good and heavy, but I can't remember anyone else mentioning this.

Now, if I could only decide if I want black dial with orange numbers or orange dial! Decisions, decisions...
