  1. Full solid gold dd reps does exist or at least used to exist and if my memory doesn’t fail me, Richard Lawton bought one from Paul around 4 years ago but it was 14k gold. And also Watchmaster used to sell this and TTK claim than he also could source 18k solid gold, but then again this was a long time ago. Personally I wouldn’t risk buying one, too expensive, costume issues, real gold issues, etc

  2. :o I never thought than I was ever going to see this… TT you banned him too soon, it was getting very funny and also I wanted to see his 27 jewels watch made by swiss trained watchmakers. This was one time life event

Very interesting his attacks to Josh and Andrew

  3. Those are the same measures of the eta 2892 than it’s a slim movement, also I think you would need something like this but for the 2892 … which one it’s the seagull st 25, Because I have in my memory than the 2824 clone it’s the st-24 and the 2892 clone it’s the st-26 and for the size that you put it appears to be a copy of the 2892

  4. This watch it’s awful and also the rep. The apparent flaws are the wrong subdial spacing and weaker date mag and date font, the font of the inner ring it’s different (where it says High pressure...)also the number 1000 and its size probably because of the different subdial spacing.

    Ugly watch (both)

    erm, wow !

makes me want to go and hug a Graham......

  5. This has been discussed a lot and as far as I know what we call Swiss ETA doesn’t necessarily means that are made in Switzerland; however they are in fact made by ETA than has or at least had factories in Asia. So swiss eta or swiss made = ETA Made, and there is also asian clones of the ETA movements than have smaller differences between the ETA made ones, those one has been told to us by Chris (eurotimez) and The Zigmeister, so far the feedback of those movements appears to be not so good, therefore I wouldn’t dare to recommend the asian ETA clone

Also there are some of the trusted collectors than have advertised his movements as swiss ETA and send clone etas.

Do you honestly believe that the Chinese rep factories actually import gen ETA movements from Switzerland, in order to put them inside replicated swiss watches?Do you honestly believe that the Chinese rep factories actually import gen ETA movements from Switzerland, in order to put them inside replicated swiss watches?

    I don't.

And how would the gen Swiss watch manufacturers, like Omega, would react to that?

And also want to add that the swatch group than owns omega and several other brands owns ETA and yet they sell movements to Chinese factories.

  6. There are two separate points here the movement and the quality of the TW best.

Now 360 sounds very expensive, but if you see most of the dealers prices the 200 mark is for the asian etas, and the 300+ for the real ETAs, it doesn’t not appears tan expensive now. And also I believe than is safer to assume than for 200 you are getting an asian clone.

The TW best DJ and DD it’s the most accurate copy and the best quality one, and also I remember that a long time ago the price of this reps were around de 400+ neighborhood.

So IMHO, it think than if you really want a DJ, personally I would go for a DD, take the TW best. Anyway what dealer it’s still offering the TW best DJ?

  7. Hey gang,

Sorry for the late reply; it has been a busy past few days! So... I'm just catching up...

Unfortunately, I cannot. Both the 15202 (Jumbo) and 25721 (ROO) have been transitioned to new homes :) However, you are correct; this watch is huge. Has the look and feel of being much, much larger than a 42mm watch! Very top heavy!

Well now I’m jealous of the new owners then ;)

  8. The watch looks absolutely great, congratulations on your new watch ;) . It gives the idea of being a lot larger than 42 mm.

Well if I recall correctly you own a closed back MBK 15202, so would you take a comparison shot as the one that you take with your other watches.

Btw, is every one sure than the color silver on the thing around the date it
