  1. It looks great, I love the patek style rotor. And now it
  2. Even when v2's movement look closer to the patek one, It looks like a seagull eta copy and I don't think that it would be a good idea to change an Eta movement for a Seagull copy. Now if it´s a sellita instead of a Seagull I don't know if the date wheels are interchangeable.
  3. I remeber that it used to be a rep of the 3919 with the correct closed back case, so it wouldn
  4. Nice, I have a soft spot for the rose gold one.
  5. I made that exercise here and the first three named were Rolex Omega and Longines, but Rolex is viewed as more far more luxurious, and for the next tag and cartier but, it
  6. So, they basically receive the St -16 ebauches, that probably costs $7, then do some "decoration" to the movement that it's more expensive than $7, then assembly the movements put them in a case that can come from anywhere(?) and inspect them and sell them as a Swiss watch and charge $400 for that, great deal for Jacques Lemans. Well that is marketing at its best.
  7. More jewels, doesn´t imply a better movement. The CL 888 is a seagull st-16, 21.600 vph, seiko stile bi-directional winding, with sandblasted plates (that would be the swiss part). And, as FxrAndy says under no circunstance a clone of a swiss movement, the Seagull St-16, Dixmont Guangzhou 2813/4813 and Naning 28/38 are "inspired" on miyota 8205/8215.
  8. Looks very good, and it has the correct silver rolex crown. Does the clasp have the hinge on the coronet to open it?
  9. Congratulations on your new purchase and enjoy it.
  10. I think the shangai 3LZF2 is exactly the same as the asian 7750 fast beating
  11. I was asked twice and I was wearing a gen on both occasions... isn`t it kind of ironic?
  12. I think that could be done... doesn`t the typical chinese hand wound tourbillion model based on the blancpain tourbillion?
  13. it's nice (the one without the secs at six). But it's too small to my taste
  14. @ sander I believe you are correct the 5066 it’s 36mm the 5165 and 5065 measure the same 38mm and, the 5167 40mm, nevertheless, if I recall correctly aquanaut’s case measures are taken from 10 to 4 o clock and that clearly bring us a lot of trouble. Since the watch it’s clearly from the old series and measures 36mm it would be fair to assume that it’s a rep of the 5066, but josh also have the old “jumbo” posted on his web but its size is 40mm which would be a wrong size but then again it depends on how they have measure the watch. And for the rubber straps it shouldn’t be a problem since 5066 and 5065 use the same rubber straps (thinking on the gen)
  15. @jeff I think that the 5165 it's 38 mm, and the 5066/5064 36mm... but I don
  16. Now they only have to replicate the closed back version... but I have seen the gen on this size and to me looks smaller that wath actually measures, so I wouldn't get one.
  17. I think the same, the old style ones look like TW best datejust.
  18. Same here. But I don't think any one has ever recognized my nautilus
