  1. I purchased this SA a few weeks ago from Andrew at Trusty Time, I love it
  2. I have two rep SA's and my boss has a gen SA, when we compare the the watches at different angles the AR coating is the same.
  3. I have the exact same SA with the black face, I'm my opinion the SA is the best Breitling you can get. I've had mine for about 9 months and it's still my pride and joy. Enjoy it!
  4. If you want the correct bracelet removal tool you need Bergeon 6767-S Spring Bar Removing Tool. They cost about £13 delivered.
  5. Both mine have a double AR coating and you can only see the blue glair in certain light. Majority of the time you cannot even see there is any glass in the watch as the sapphire crystal is so clear. I'm not sure why you would want to remove the AR coating it is it supposed to have it
  6. If it was the @6 subdial you can see it is in the correct position, if there is any other inperfections please point them out to me.
  7. The strap comes in two pieces and it looks like to can adjust both sides but the piece that has the clasp looks like it's adjustable, but it's not. You cannot remove the pin. What I had to do is cut down the other piece as small as it would go, then attach it to the other end of the clasp with a spring bar. Behind the clasp is an adjustment mechanism that allows you to adjust the strap by 15ml. I have small to average sized wrists, with the strap on the smallest size it fits perfectly.
  8. I got the rubber strap from trusty time for $98 and I changed using a tiny flat headed screwdriver to pop the pins out. It was a real pain at first as I had to keep removing and cutting down the strap so it would fit. For someone who knows what they are doing it would take them about 10 minutes. I think it looks much better with the rubber.
  9. I have reviewed the pictures and it is the non faulty watch that has the off sundial. It seems to be fine now I hadn't done anything to correct the it.
  10. I see what you mean, I didn't spot that. I purchased two avengers exactly the same. One ended up being faulty and I have had to send back. The one I am wearing now the @6 dial is correct. Thanks for pointing that out.
  11. I have just purchased my 2nd Avenger. I also purchased a rubber strap to replace the bracelet
  12. I managed to find a guide for adjusting my rubber strap and the release point and spring catch wasn't on my strap. My strap is a rep and probably explains why it doesn't have these, but it's a shame as it isn't really adjustable. I removed one side with brute force bending the spring bar. I cut that down as small as I could, then replaced the spring bar and popped it back in. It's not quite the jobs I was looking to do but it worked. I had a look at the bergeon, I was using a cheaper version and probably explains why I was having difficulty to start with. Anyway I have ordered a bergeon and a few other bracelet adjustment tools.
  13. I have managed to get it off. I used a small screw driver rather than the remove tool I usually use. I now have the standard Breitling rubber strap with the clasp and the holes in. I have cut down one side to the correct size, but now I have no idea to adjust the other side. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  14. I hope someone can help me, I have just purchased a Breitling super avenger with the bracelet. I also purchased a rubber strap and I'm having a nightmare trying to change it. I have changed straps before but I cannot get the bracelet off. Can anyone offer me any advice before I do something silly and break something. Many thanks
  15. I have this exact same watch with I have owed for about the last nine months. The reason I got this one is because a friend of mine has an original but with the white face. I wanted to compare my rep against an original. They were virtually identical, very suttle differences and you can only spot them if you are comparing against an original. The click on the bezel is different. The rep is not as tightly secured to the face. Above the 12 on the bezel there is a tiny Breitling B stamp. On the original it's stamped and on the rep it is engraved. When you open the clasp the breitling the original has deep engraving and on the rep it's not as deep. That is it, very suttle out of the 8 reps I own this is by far the best. I got mine from a different site and I paid £250 plus a£30 posted and £30 Import tax. I like it that much I'm going to get the older model tomorrow with white dials and black rubber strap.
