Just bought a PAM212 Asian Auto from another member. Watch is fantastic, seems to be working, chronos seem OK too.
One problem - I cannot seem to change the time. I flip open the "Reg TM" clasp, pull out the crown but when I turn it nothing seems to happen.
Am I doing something wrong?
I agree that $378 is not cheap but when this watch with this movt (it's the same movt as in the original) came out a year or two ago they were asking about $600 although I think that version had better numbers. Hopefully Joshua will be able to get the more accurate dial for this price which would make it a pretty attractive proposition.
It looks to me that the numbers are thinner than the original. See for example the IIII at 4 o'clock - the gap between each I is as wide as the I itself. On the original the gaps are much thinner because the numbers themselves are thicker. Hope this makes sense.
Perhaps someone more technically gifted than me could post a pic of the genuine next to Josh's one.
It does seem as though lighting affects how the hands look...assuming of course that the one at pacifictime is a genuine
One other thing I've noticed though is that the numbers on the rep seem to be "thinner" than on the genuine which is possibly more of a giveaway than the hands IMO
Wondering if anyone has seen an actual model of the Cartier Tank Francaise being offered by Joshua Josh's Tank
Are the hands as light as they appear in the pictures? I know that flash photography can do strange things. The hands on the original are dark blue, almost black from certain angles. Apart from this it would appear to be close to 100%.
Any info most welcome.
Thanks
