If you're an American citizen, Netbank.com offers very competitive CD placements - but earnings will be reported to the IRS. Handy if you possess income taxable by the government where you reside (not my case) and building up a dollar deposit which is out of sight from local authorities. Other than that, Jersey and Guernsey have licensed and trustworthy offshore banking facilities. Opening an account often depends on how much you have - they're generally not interested in nickle and dime deposits, which I presume is not your case. I'd avoid anything that looks too good but offers no guarantees.

Well guys, the 'whole story' can be read as posted by Blade himself on RWG1, and personally, I think it makes sense. There's a lot of information on what really happened, as well as Blade's pledge to make good on the RWG watch deal - right down refunding the people here who contributed to the fund. As for those who are still mystified about Blade's miraculous reappearance several weeks ago on RWG1, here's what he says: "Whoever was on the board around two weeks ago was not me, nor was that the post from Matrix which was made around two weeks ago. I actually found out who was posting, but that will be kept secret." I'm not trying to find excuses for Blade - particularly since I'm not convinced that he needs any - he did what he could, at the same time that his own world was crashing down on him. Even Ken has posted a conciliatory message; at this point it's up to each member to do as his tastes, conscience, ethics, etc. dictates. As for myself, I'm confortable here, but I can still relate to what Blade has said concerning the past, present and future. No conflict of interest. To close, I sincerely hope that we won't create schisms and lines of fracture based on who is 'for' or 'against' Blade and the resurrected RWG. Life is too short, enjoy it while you can.

Thank you kindly, J. PM sent explaining all. And where is HAL2000 when you really need him?

That's very true: there's even a very knowledgeable and helpful guy on the official Apple iMac forum who's been using the successive releases of OSX on a souped-up Rev. A model - one of the first iMacs. But by the time I add more memory and a bigger HD, I might as well just upgrade the whole system. My problem is that I'm still totally in love with the mono-block iMacs, so the only place I can go is to a used but faster model: the 500-600mhz with enough memory and diskspace to turn OS 4+. They're pretty indestructable and pretty easy to find cheaply on ebay.fr - the problem is not buying into someone else's problems....
-
Thanks for the suggestions, C-stone... Hadn't even thought of my grotty French cable ISP; as for FileShare, I'll check it out... Hope it will work with my antiquidated iMac and it's pre-X OS. Keep telling myself to upgrade, upgrade, upgrade.....

And heaven knows what else! Miss Understood had better not hear about this, you naughty boy...

The hosting platform that I've been using to post mp3 files here is down and possibly terminally out. Does anyone know of another free hosting service offering unlimited up-and-downloads? Thanks....

I'm going to re-register as fu$§*tard. Never knew who I really was until Blade told me.

God help you if they are the same (non) quality currently being flogged around Africa...
-
Eddy, what do you mean by 'if they only knew'? As for myself, I know that these drugs are being distributed widely in Africa. Certainly Asia as well. Can range from Indian generics (ok) to 0 active ingredients, to pure poison. So again, and since you are an M.D., what do you mean?
-
Of course it's wrong. On the other hand, can you suggest some way to make it right? If so, I'll pay your ticket over there. One way, since there will be little chance of your coming back.

PM sent. :-)

that's the problem with low-rent neighborhoods :-) Why not come over to Montparnasse and see how the other half lives? I'll stand you a drink! ('Asspire'?) Do I detect a bilingual pun here?

Gracious me; I never implied that Mr. Lazarus is behind RWI. Simply that his name appears on top of the page as a Moderater. No comment. Take it as you like. Whatever floats your boat. Come to think of it, one of my all-time favorite persons (Klinkster) is also very much a part of RWI. He's still a forum friend, no matter where he hangs out. It's a nice day in Paris, Pug: so why the rancune?

and.... Elliot. No comment.

@Pugwash: I figured this would elicit a reaction from you :-) @johntheboy: happens when you eat too much haggis... nothing to worry about.

A secret message from johnnyboy to jjajh, or just exWatchMaster discussing his prices with Tanfoglio? This should interest some of our math and cryptology specialists...an interesting story.... http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2006/05/31...6-0735-mystery/ As for the site itself (Homeland Stupidity) I've no idea of what they usually publish; picked up the link on another website. They seem to be a rather confusing blend of Left-leaning Neo-Cons. Or maybe I'm just not getting it (as usual). Update, second message, and more of the same: http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2006/06/01...n-415-704-0402/
