  1. Not to crap your thread, but there are some amazing time pieces on that link. The pictures are simply awesome and bring the details to life. I think I am going to kill my memory with this one thread you linked. :)

  2. IMO, that was tasteless and condescending. I bet he would miss 30 watches a year if he lost the business.

I would say if you mean so little to A, then screw him and buy from someone who would appreciate it. He must be doing pretty good to not need you anymore.

I would classify member TANFOGLIO as a large collector. OMG, his disposable income must have no end.

  3. I can only speak of what I have in my collection, but.........

    Eddie Lee PAM127.

    Chronomat Evoloution

    SteelFish SuperOcean

    MBW vintage.

Soon I will hopefully have myself an AP ROO. Just waiting for the prices to cool off like they always do, and to see some longevity reports on the movements, then a Safari will be mine. :)

  4. Looks very nice Uncle. Great job putting that one together. You have come a long way in a hurry. Just a few weeks ago you were asking how to remove case clamps, and now you have assembled this beauty like a professional watchmaker. Great work my man.

I am in love with that dial.

  5. i think you can skip the gen dial -

the rep white dial is good enough .... at least for me ;)

    cheers,

    Frank

I agree. I am very happy with the MBW white letter dial. One day a nice vintage lume, or maybe not. I have had it a long while and have not done this yet, so it seems happy to stay as it is. :)

Favorite rep in my collection it is.

  6. I will take the dial you have pictured for $300 please. That would be $240 profit for you. Not bad. :)

I have seen much worse go for much higher. The bay is full of Chit these days. Scam city and the honest sellers are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too expensive as collectors are on a buying spree.

I need to get in contact with Ubi's parts fairy. He just thinks of something he needs and poof he has it. :)

  7. I think the prices have something to do with it. We are not buying $125 reps anymore. I am happy about that as the new reps are great great great. I don't expect $3000 quality for less than $500, but I do expect the quality to be equal to the money I spend, and I do expect some recourse when problems arise other than to be told it's my problem because I bought a fake.

I have come to appreciate EuroTimez approach and Chris will get my next order.

I wont abandon the others, but IMO if Chris is going to shoot straight with me, then I am going to give him a shot. I have never read where any other dealer openly tell us what to look for so we don't get scammed.

Lies are lies no matter how small or what color they are. I just want to know what I am told is what I will receive.
