  1. lol Omega is gen, the Rolex is a TC sub, but very nice though. I'm happy as it is. If I could afford a Rolex I'd buy more two gen Omegas'! I do need a gen Speedy in my collection. Pete, I do have the odd Pam too, just to even things up!
  2. One gen and one rep. Both get a lot of wrist time at the moment. Which one is which eh?
  3. For a TC sub you'll need to email him direct. Search on here for his blog details. Or, go for a M2M sale. They come up from time to time.
  4. For me too. Still plenty to talk about here though.
  5. No, and I mustn't look: I'd only make a mess.
  6. Yes I know what you mean. I try to hide it a bit from my wife, if she walks in I try not to look guilty but she just thinks I'm a 'normal' guy looking at porn. So I just let her think that!
  7. Wise words as always from some experienced members. I for one was scammed because I was "greedy", well actually it was because the watch never comes up for sale and is discontinued with our TD's. So, when it became available, I had to take the chance. The guy was selling to others and has some good feedback, even then I paid the PayPal fees as he wouldn't. Was I nieve: no, trusting and willing to take the chance: yes. I think what I learned was as has been said before, buy the seller, and never use PayPal gift.
  8. After a few of us had been scammed by Brietlingguy I disputed the transaction as I had paid the PayPal fees myself even though the seller wanted a gift payment. Others have lost out and I feel bad for them as I have today finally got my money back. The moral here is never to use a gift payment unless your prepared to take the hit if things go wrong.
  9. Awe group hug. Well done for sorting it out.
  10. After looking for ages for one of these, I found one in a M2M sale thread here but have unfortunately been scammed. So, the hunt goes on. It appears that the TD's have sold out and as the watch is no longer in production I'm struggling to find one - any ideas guys?
  11. I don't know if I can ship to him or not but ....... http://m.dump.com/astronautrepairs/ Enjoy
  12. Still undecided, so I'll probably go with the St Christopher as I'd rather play safe. Thanks all
  13. That's a really nice idea, it's just that I don't use pens very much these days. Most of my time is spent on a PC or driving. lol
  14. Hmmmm there's food for thought. I could do but I'm not sure if the hands would clear it. I suppose if was mounted out far enough then the hour hand would clear it and the minute hand should be high enough to clear it. Good idea.
  15. Indeed, I can't afford to lose it as it'll cost about £2500! That's for a small one. I'd have a jeweller set it rather than a watchmaker. As I said, I'm only thinking about it at the moment.
  16. Thanks guys. I was thinking of my gen Seamaster 2254.50, replacing the pearl with a small diamond. The watch is a keeper, especially if I did this mod to it.
  17. Very impressive, just wished to photo's still worked.
  18. My father died some 6 years ago and ever since I have been keeping some of his ashes with the intention of having them made into a small diamond. This is quite expensive - several thousand £/$. I always had intended mounting it in my St Christopher medallion that I've had since I was a kid. However, I've been thinking about the possibility of having it mounted in a watch. What do you guys think and any suggestions as to which watch it would suit - I'm mostly into divers, but am open to suggestions. Thanks all.
  19. No, but he's using the same email address for his Ebay account. So, maybe it's possible to get it through eBay or PayPal, I doubt it to be honest but just maybe.
  20. There must be more people who've bought from him as he had loads for sale.
  21. I can't believe [censored] is censored. A R S E
  22. Cheers fellas. Still a pain in the [censored] though.
  23. Not by me it wasn't, I paid the PayPal fee myself. Pete, what should I say about the errrrr watch? I've not opened a PayPal dispute before.
