  1. I'd say SSTEEL is a perfect choice to build it for you. I have half a dozen of my watches with him at the moment and more waiting here to send.
  2. Lovely just lovely. I'm especially into white dials at the moment so you know which is choose. I wish I had the know how to produce such beautiful work.
  3. You'll find a lot of TDs often don't remove watches that are no longer available. I'm sure that they have their reasons, unbeknown to me. Though possibly because the amount of time it takes to do such housekeeping and they often don't know themselves on the less popular reps.
  4. On my Seamasters it goes inside the bezel. There should be a groove machined inside the bezel. Once in place you can then push the bezel onto the watch mid case.
  5. You are soooooo Wrong. Just because we Europeans are all 'friends' again does not mean we do not remember or pay our respects. My Great Great Uncle died in WW1. My Grandfather fought in WW2. Today, at work, we commemorated Armistice Day. Everyone stopped work at 11:00am for 2 minutes silence. Having served in the armed forces with people who have lost friends and comrades in conflicts, I feel duty bound to speak on their behalf. Today I watched Black Adder 4 - a (very) British comedy about WW1. Even that brought a tear to my eye.
  6. "Isn't this forum the best?" Well of course it is. The tempered mannerisms of well grounded members, the lack of back stabbing and witch hunts make it a great place for both inexperienced and long serving members alike.
  7. With it being a (reverse) panda dial, the sub dial spacing immediately smacks you right in the eye. An all black Speedy looks much more realistic.
  8. I guess that over the last 40-50 years it's been through several services. Anyone of those could have switched the caseback - maybe the original was engraved as a gift and the next owner wanted it changing, who knows. It still looks good though.
  9. I once had to wait around 4 months for a TC if that counts.
  10. The watch is firstly doing the rounds of the VIP/Diamond/Platinum members and after that we'll see where it gets to. It's traveling now as far as I know.
  11. Have you looked in his TD section? Send to his email listed and see what response you get. https://rwg.cc/forum/196-bks-watch-garage/
  12. Jack, a goldsmith could easily make a 15 minute marker for you. Lovely watch by the way.
  13. He's not been active for. Long while. Maybe contact one of the mods involved at the time. A PM is best.
  14. I guess the smallest would be an old ETA that I picked up in a yard sale for a couple of pounds here in the uk. It is maybe 35/36mm. Not in fantastic condition but it runs and keeps time. A classic old Swiss watch that I may one day have restored. At least it's been saved from the rubbish tip. The largest is probably a 47mm Pam. At a time when I was wearing 39-42mm watches it felt and looked (in my eyes) ridiculous. Now days it would look on the larger side of normal.
  15. I like it a lot, but it's too expensive to my liking, both rep and gen. Now if someone has bought it and done a review I maybe more likely to buy.
  16. A good looker. Should be highly visible in that Alaskan snow should you lose it. Wear it well.
  17. Sigh, another Omega I now need. Thanks a lot buddy.
  18. I actually agree with you. A good rep at $500 whereas the gen is thousand of dollars makes sense; as long as it's a good rep. Personally I don't want to spend lots on poor reps. Cheap reps are fun and as long as they're cheap then who cares if they're accurate or not. Oh and if you please, PM me on where to get that deal on the Nomos.
  19. Not too bad actually, but there again; underwater no one can hear you scream.
