  1. Any larger, ale, beer or cider. Sometimes wine and occasionally spirits.
  2. I enjoy watching Rugby and football (soccer) on TV and also movies. I also enjoy JDM cars and have had mine for 10 years now. I'd love to own a classic 911, be it a 993 or a 964(Singer). The Singer is much less likely though. Activity wise: cycling, surfing and the beach life here in Cornwall. A nice beer or three to relax with friends along with some Indian food - curry! A simple life for me generally.
  3. Wow, you learn something every day. thanks for the info.
  4. I agree for three handers, but what about chronographs? I'm not a movement guy but I'd imagine that some are restricted by the chronograph complication as to where the date can go.
  5. Welcome. Turkey is ok, but the reps are poor quality. I've been and had a look in the 'genuine fake' shops. Use the trusted dealers here and have plenty of patience with shipping and the likes. You'll end up with some watches that you won't get called out on. Do some reading and decide what style you're into and even check out the M2M sales. Once you're bought a few you're likely to condem the cheap Turkish ones to the bin.
  6. Since the server move (if that's the correct expression), there are lots of historic links that don't work. For example, I was looking at some collections earlier - www.rwgforum.net/topic/155010-jaeger-lecoultre-master-compressor-navy-seals-automatic-diver - and it's unavailable. However if you replace the "rwgforum.net" with "rwg.cc" all is good again. www.rwg.cc/topic/155010-jaeger-lecoultre-master-compressor-navy-seals-automatic-diver Sorry if it's been posted before, or if I'm trying to teach people to suck eggs, it's just that there is a wealth of information here that should be available to all. Hope that helps
  7. I can neither confirm nor deny your accusation............ But yes, I do believe so.
  8. And a group photo ...... Sorry, couldn't resist.
  9. Very wise selection. Good guys who are level headed and responsible. I'm sure they'll add to the community. Well done guys
  10. The Speedmaster you're looking for come with a 7750 in a gen so there should be no issue repping it. Have you emailed any TD's? They'd know for sure.
  11. I can take it or leave it at the moment. Bronze watches have never appealed to me and what is it about patina? Why have an expensive precision timepiece which looks old and 'rusty'?
  12. All reps have flaws. Check the qc pictures and if you're happy with them accept it. These pictures are for spotting major flaws - like the wrong watch, damage to it or the like. They are not for rejecting it because there is a better model available. As long as you get the watch you ordered then all is good. If you bought from a TD then it should be fine.
  13. Born in the 60's Grew up in the 70's 'Lived' in the 80's Worked in the 90's Partied In the noughties Discovered reps in the teenies and have been poor since. My life so far.....
  14. Check out the trusted dealers. They should all be able to source one for you v
  15. I probably have a broken clasp somewhere with the part that you require. You'd need to find a watchsmith who can solder it in for you though - you're not losin it again then. PM me if you want me to look.
  16. Looks sharp, but I thought that you wanted the yellow? Anyway, enjoy as it looks nice and at that price seems to good to pass up.
  17. Crabbies (alcoholic) Ginger Beer. Say no more.
  18. A Seamaster of some sort, such as a Planet Ocean. Or, maybe a classic Speedy Pro.
