  1. Hope it's not the humidity being a diver and all that lol. I can survive a few weeks without it no problem. I know the UK is only 2 hours ahead and my maths isn't that bad.* *normal beer disclaimer applies!
  2. Dusted of the NSD today. Always forget how good it is.
  3. My gen Omega Seamaster GMT has just crapped out on me. Luckily I have several reps with me, including my rep Omega Great White. Looks like another one for Micky on my return to the UK. Who says that gens are better than reps :(
  4. Sorry Ken, but that is a poor analogy. The shootings in schools etc are generally by a single disgruntled teen with social problems. When we talk of Islamic extremists we are usually talking about well funded organisations who recruit young, easily influenced Muslims. Whilst I am not particularly religious, I was brought up in the UK, a Christian country. I am tolerant of all faiths and this is part of the problem. Many Muslims here (in the UK) don't want to mix and integrate with the Christian society, but will group together. They wish to convert the UK to an Islamic nation which is wrong as they are the immigrants whom should embrace British culture (I didn't say religion) but they won't. This WILL lead to massive conflict, much more than is currently happening. I don't know when, but I'm sad to say it will happen.
  5. I think that this discussion is remarkably civil, considering some of the other forums that I venture onto.
  6. +1 Most, not all but most, of what you hear on the news is Islamist groups causing terror attacks. Not just is the western world, nut across the WHOLE world. Now that maybe because it brings in ratings, more so than a Christian terrorism act, but maybe it's because it's the truth.
  7. Which website? I can't see one in your post?
  8. Ok then Mike. As Kenny Everett's General Cheeseburger once said "We'll round 'em up, put 'em in a field and bomb the bastards" http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hnOHPZ51hAc Happy to say that the French seem to be on the case this morning :)
  9. That's a bugger There are plenty of cheap crystal protectors on eBay for only a few $. Maybe get one and try again?
  10. I agree with what you're saying wholeheartedly. However, Christianity stopped (in general) trying to force people to convert hundreds of years ago. It seems that these Muslims, who kill 'infidels' in the name of Islam, are somewhat behind the times.
  11. Nice Snoopy! Omega day for me too.
  12. A small proportion of the worlds Muslims are evil, of that there is no doubt. In the same way that a small proportion of the worlds Christians, Hindus, Buddists etc are evil. I know some very nice Muslims and have lived near some nasty evil ones, ones who were part of the London bombings around 10 years ago. I didn't know it at the time unfortunately, otherwise things would have turned out very different: I'd probably be doing time for murder but at least dozens of people would have been saved.
  13. +1, buy the seller first. If possible check their sales history and pay with a credit card. Once you receive it get it checked by a local specialist.
  14. Sorry to thread crap in the Breitling area, but the best car clock has to be this..... Singer Porsche 964
  15. Does it have a built in winder that rotates the watch when the engine is off I wonder?
  16. I think I've found someone who can edge an strap. So it may have solved my problem!
  17. How about: buy the rep and wear that on rubber, leaving your gen on its bracelet. Best of both worlds. If you then decide that you must have your gen on rubber you can sell the rep to help fund the gen strap.
  18. Cheers buddy, will have a look. :)
  19. I'm after a strap like this for my own blue SOA. Any suggestions as to where I may find it? I've contacted the owner next door but he can't remember other than it was a German company. Any German members want to help track it down? Would be appreciated.
  20. A little late posting, but better late than never. Where I live we have a pirates day. Until last year the town held the world record for the largest number of people in one place dressed as pirates.
  21. Yes it can, the date wheel can be removed.* *Advise given is from a non-tinkerer and could be wrong!
