They are worth keeping. Often OEMs like Omega say that certain things, such as crowns, are service items. Keep them as members here will find a good use for them. Maybe contact one of the modders line SSteel to see if they have any use for them.

Is this the plots to case or strap to plots? If the second maybe locate one side on a screwdriver and then try and unscrew the other side. If it still turns but doesn't come out then it must be loose so try and grab it with the Mrs tweezers or something.

Photos aren't clear enough, but dial looks okay to me. If the chrono isn't working I'd not pay too much as it needs a bracelet and a service if it turns out to be gen.

I've tried several ways in the past and its horses for courses. Sometimes I fit the plots to the strap first sometimes not...... sorry I can't be of more help mate. Patience though as it will be worth it.

Nothing wrong with Quartz. They're great as a beater, with the bonus of generally being more precise than their more desirable siblings. I guess the reason people look down on them is because high end watchmakers rely on mechanical movements for their art. How do you judge a timepiece; by its aesthetics or its precision? Generally, any cheap Quartz will beat even an expensive mechanical movement if accuracy is what you're after and therein lies the problem - expensive watches are there to look good and make us feel better, if we want to know the exact time look at your phone!

Cancelling PayPal payments can mess with your PayPal account along with the TD's. Do not do it unless expressly advised to do so by a moderator. Why is the order going sour? Maybe posting some information on here will get you some answers from forum members who've had similar experiences. Patience is key in this game, maybe the TD just needs more time to resolve whatever issues you/they are having.

I never use tapatalk, I always use the full web even on a phone. In fact, I find it frustrating that I frequently get asked to install tapatalk when I open up the forum, I've said no once now f***off!

I remember speaking to Z Cars at a car show years ago and they told me a story of them testing a twin bike engined mini - one in the front and one in the back, both turbocharged (maybe a hayabusa) pushing out lots and lots of power. They were at a race circuit (Silverstone?) and the Orange Arrows F1 team were there testing. As the circuit was wide enough they both had some fun......... Allegedly, the mini was faster off the line and pulled away from the F1 car due to superior grip from the 4 x 4 system. However the F1 car would pass it at around 60mph once the aero was working and creating enough downforce to give the rear tyres grip!

I try to use soft diffused lighting. I place the watch by the window and then draw the curtains. This allows enough light through but avoids strong shadow and reduces glare. I then angle the watch slightly away from the camera so as not to get any reflections. This is when using a point and shoot such as my iPhone. I have a better setup for a DSLR, but on the whole the above method works just fine. Edit to add - I use a white piece of A4 paper as the background on shots for sales threads - to keep things simple. I curve the paper so there are no edges/corners.
