That’s right, today is the day, starting with one lonely man and some bulletin board software we’ve grown into the most educated and knowledgeable watch forum on the Web. Tens of thousands of members and accumulated centuries of experience... I’m proud to be part of this place we call 127.0.0.1
Congratulations RWG!!!
Happy Birthday RWG

Hi everyone,
13 years here...Not really active anymore, I just check in to see what's happening. I remember buying my first watches off river around 2003.
Amazing how time fly's.
Stay safe

Nice AP Factory model mate V1 haha Glad they got that right first time hahaI agree that double ARs look nice for some watches, but for APs, it actually makes the watch look inaccurate as gen AP crystals are all single AR.
Also, the double AR accentuates the flaws on the tapisseries and printing for the rep. Double AR crystals are also prone to surface scratches and marring.
My gen 15400, with single AR crystal

Hi Guys, is River still around these days? I remember buying all my watches off him way back in 2002 onwards, but I don't hear of him anymore?
He was a great guy, so hope all is ok with him.

Hi Guys,
Are the Noob Titanuim Cases actually full titanium, or are they coated?
This might be a dumb question but I am going to give it a light cape cod treatment but not sure if this will take off the titanium if is plated?
Can you even plate titanium? Lol
Thanks

Thanks Rolojack, is there anyone you recommend that could do this special job for me? Appreciate your feedback, please feel free to PM with the details, I want to get my case back perfect. ThanksThis is stamped. However, the "stamped" look can be achieved with engraving: after engraving polish to clean edges, then wash the surface with acid to give a sandblasted look to the bottom of the letters/numbers and finally do the final brushed finish. Result will be perfect.

Hi Guys,
For watches like 1655 and Comex watches, as you know these watches had either Rolex or Rolex Comex stamped on the particular models. I already have Phong case and case backs, but my case backs have "Rolex" Engraved on the case back instead of Stamped as per Gen. Does anyone know if you can indeed get a caseback stamped? Cheers.

Hi Rolojack, question on your caseback where it says Rolex, it is stamped or engraved? I'm looking for someone who can stamp Rolex into the caseback instead of engraving Rolex onto it???

If It does not have the exact parts (except foe replacement movement parts) that it left the factory with, then it is not original IMO.

Actually I do not know if you're being sarcastic or not lol.
But the Swiss mainspring mod is a simple one. It replaces the weaker Asian mainspring with a stronger Swiss one. The higher tensile spring gives it more force to overcome the friction presented at the transfer gears in the A7750 movement. It also facilitates a better power reserve for the movement and overall better reliability.
A simple idea really. Shouldn't elicit so many wows or exclamation marks haha.

It had so bad power reserve, only 6 hours in the Bee. I am sure my next new watch the LeBron will have the goods! ???????? because that modder is a Legend! Hehehe?

Just sharing pics of my modded lebron James. The watch released by jf is a gorgeous one, but certain flaws need to be addressed in my opinion to make it closer to perfection.
Without going into verbosity, I will share the flaws which my watchsmith Spinmaster fixed, and the enhancements done by him. The flaws seem to be prevalent in this model.
Flaws fixed:
- alignment of marker at 9
- repainting of hands to the correct royal blue
- fixed lower chrono pusher protrusion to the same as upper one. The lower chrono pusher of the rep sticks out too much compared with the upper chrono pusher at 2 o'clock.
Enhancements done
- servicing of movement
- Swiss main spring for a 56hrs power reserve
- hour hand base mod: trimmed base diameter, beveled and polished
- cyclops mod to have a deeper looking datewheel
- trimming of 3 o'clock marker for that space between datewheel and marker.
Enough talk, on to the pics!

Hi Guys,
So my bumblebee 7750 sec12 will only work when I hand wind it now for some reason and will only last 8-9hours after 25 turns.
I love the watch but need to get this thing running so I can wear it daily without hand winding everyday.
Who can I send my watch too, to do the following:
1. Source and Replace Movement for a Swiss 7750, with Sec at 12. Not sure what movement is the best, don't mind paying some cash, as its a great watch, too good to be sitting in the draw.
2. I want it to be a daily beater, so needs to be done properly.
Any advice, please PM me, I am in New Zealand and willing to ship worldwide.
Cheers AP
