you know if you start with the a21j vintage subs from andrew/ Josh ect they have the same construction as gen and you would be working in the same direction, and collecting parts that you will be able to use in later projects.
Infact this one is not half bad at just over half the price of an MBW and you have a movement that is the prefered one
Hey thanks Andy, will do mate, that looks good to me! Cheers and thanks again for your advice.
Cheers

Thanks Andy, maybe I might just play around for a while on some basic subs before I dabble in those MBWs. Thanks for your advice, your subs look real good. Cheers

Hi guys,
I just purchased some tools etc and want to start to build, mod and learn to service my own watches.
To start off I want to learn to pull down, service and mod a vintage Rep Submariner for myself, I'm bored on the weekends.
Can you guys recommend to me a good Vintage Rolex Sub that would be a good base to start off from please? I guess it would be better to have a Gen ETA to start off with??
I deal with Andrew and josh so if someone can help out that would be good.
I'm working towards doing a double red sub!
I checked the watchmaking section here and that's great, anyone with specific Submariner info that may help me that they wish to share please pm me, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks Paneraiguy

Pfffffffft!! What you need is magnesium-aluminum alloy ... then when it's 49 years old it will look as good as this.
Just kidding, of course.
I love the series 1,2 and 3 Landrovers, apart from vintage Rolls Royce these are my favorite vehicles, I restored a safari 2a some years ago, wish I had kept it

Yeh just wanted to post these, as the Reps are getting so good, especially the Panerai's, yeh still hard to beat the "feel" of a Gen SD.

Chicks dig good shoes! Wear what ever watch you want, however the likes of panerai etc, are hard to fit under French cuffs, if that is the case I don't wear a watch that day.

this guy knows his STUFF!This is the transition period from tritium to superluminova in the year 2000, in which dials had "swiss" and afterwards finally changed into "swiss made"
