  1. Mine has the 7753. All my Subdials work. Running seconds at 9:00. The Subdial at 3 works just as it should as does the one at six. I used the chrono yesterday. It sure isn't orange! Take a look at the Omega website and compare. My date font is a little weak, but other than that pretty close.

    That was a QC pic.

I took that one. Plus my Lume is really good.

  2. So after 3 and a half days my watch is dead on balls accurate. In fact the department of weights and measures contacted me to set the atomic clock!

I moved that regulator lever a tiny smidge, and checked against my iPhone it's been perfect.

Glad I came here to learn.

  3. My first rep, which I love after owning it 6 months now was loosing a few minutes a week. This became frustrating so I read on and accumulated some tools and ready myself for some surgery.

I started by replacing a tiny battery in my daughters Swiss Army watch. My 56 year old eyes and big fingers found it quite challenging.

    It was successful!

So next in line was my beloved Seamaster.

That little regulator arm is very, very small. I hacked it, got in there and moved it the distance of a certain kind of hair...it's an industry term. We will see if I picked up a few minutes a week.

I was quite proud of my accomplishment.

    I'll report back.

    I'll report my findings.

  4. Well I tried that, on its side crown pointing up. It stopped twice last night! I wore it pretty much all day, took it off at about 9:00 it quit at 1:30 or so. I didn't wind it but swirled it for a bit, re set it and set it down again crown skyward. It stopped just before 8:00 this morning. Over the past three months I've only ever laid it flat at night and it's never stopped. I did not wind it manually. So how bout that! I work today till 9:00 and you would think that would give enough of a wind, and I'll try it again tonight and see what happens.

  5. When you take off at night lay it down crown up (on its side). This way you can compensate a bit as the movement will speed a bit in this position. Completely normal with mechanical movements. Even genuines.

I read somewhere about its resting position, but somehow thought it was suggested to lay it flat to gain a little. I'll try placing it on its side and see what happens.

Thanks for the tips. I really don't want to open it and start shoving that lever!
