This was my first foray in the rep world. I asked many questions of my TD and compared countless pictures.

The date not working stinks.

The lume doesn't look bad, but mine is blue and green without a doubt.

If your clasp has the big Omega logo on it, I think is more like the Gen.

How about those Subdials do they work and reset properly? Looks like your Chrono is running.

I'm new at this and have my first rep which I really like and am very impressed with. It's an Omega 300 Seamaster Chrono

It's powered by an A7753. I loose about 2 minutes a week. I wear it everyday. Is that acceptable? Should I open it and make an adjustment? Any thoughts appreciated.

Is yours a 7750 or 7753?

Some do some don't. Mine all work. Best to ask the dealer as some descriptions aren't accurate.

I am amazed by it myself. It is so cool, so seemingly accurate to gen. I play with the chrono a little. I would email that dealer and ask specific questions. Mine functions as it should, the date correction is slick. I had an excellent purchase with puretime. Hope that helps and thanks for the compliment!

I don't know which one is better. I have the 7753 version. Date correction in the helium release valve as per gen. All of my subdials work. Date font better on the other I believe and my clasp is etched Seamaster Professional, not just the big Omega. I've worn it everyday since I got it,  keeps great time might loose a minute after a week.my date indicator is at 6:00. I'm not too sure how accurate their description is.

Are these Classic SMP chrono's still available? By-Tor I agree completely with you on alphas and invictas. They feel cheap; bracelet feels as light as an Aluminium foil.

I almost bought one from puretime, I rejected the first pics. And ended up paying more but getting a similar one to what you got

But I still think they may have the older style model, after not having it for a long while.

In the omega section I have 4 post that are the same. Used an iPhone Tapatalk but it uploaded 4 times I can't seem to get rid of the extras and it looks like I'm screaming for attention. Or just a dork. Please help!

Damn, do I ever like it. I stare at it quite often! I have worn it everyday. It Has a 7753 seems real quiet and keeps great time, say compared with my IPhone.

Bracelet is very comfortable and solid.

The date correction is a piece of cake using the button in the helium release valve. The crown seems very well seated and secure. Very smooth operating. I've played with the chrono a little. Buttons are positive. Sweep is super smooth and resets perfectly. The running seconds at 9:00 are also steady.

So thanks for the help and encouraging words.

I'm in New York. If someone can steer me toward an outfit that can provide a service at a reasonable cost and turn around, I'm willing to listen.
