Simply an embarassing display of incredible superiority by Money. The greatest of this era, one of the best 20 boxers P4P of all times.

Hi All,
I see he's been on the forum recently, but I havent heard from him in 13 days. Payment was sent and he sent me QC pics. There was a very small amount of browning on the bracelet endlinksand I asked if it would be possible to
A. Clean the brown off the bracelet if it's just dirt.
B. Replace the bracelet if dirt/rust can't be removed easily
Since that moment, he has not responded. Anyone else had communication with him? Yesterday I sent another email saying, to go ahead and send the watch as-is if it´s a problem for him to clean or find a replacement bracelet. Wondering what is going on here.
Cheers,
Ry
Having the same problem here. He's not responding to me too...

One of the ugliest watches I've ever seen. Period.
-
UNBELIEVABLE. One of the most beautiful rep I've ever seen (and I've seen quite a lot). Mighty Z., if one day you'll ever decide to part with it, you know who to call!
-
I will have to disagree. here is a reference for that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excellent-condition-mens-white-dial-Rolex-Explorer-II-/150658323125?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2313ef92b5#ht_901wt_1188
lug holes and "swiss made"
I guess (actually strongly believe) that the dial is not from the original watch!
-
Well, if it has lug holes, than the dial should be tritium, not luminova. At the bottom of the dial it should bear "swiss t<25",thus.
-
Well, St Exupery is mine!
-
PM for you N, for the BB and St Ex
-
The gen dial makes a world of difference. The rep dial has not the thicker markers at 5, 10, 15 and on, just to spot the most evident flaw...
-
Good luck with that project friend!
See you soon
Marco
Eh, mi sa che sarà dura...

It's gonna be tough...

Ok guys, I know I'm looking for something really hard to find, but you never know... I'm in desperate need of a 16520 case, and I'd pay top money for it, as I'm on the way to build a Daytona El Primero (already have the movt and bracelet, I'm buying dial and hands now). I know that George from Greece (not WM9) used to sell them, and somebody may still have some...Anybody know any other source (please don't suggest J&W, I already know, but the price is crazy)? Or, if you happen to have one, I'm here!
-
Sell it to me, sell it to me, sell it to me!

Dial and crown are gen for sure, all the rest I don't know (need more pics). However, CGs seem ok, lugs are the proper size and have the proper brushing, so my bet is 100% gen.
-
Happy to see eveybody is liking this 9420...'cause now it's mine!
-
To my eye, the movt seems to be an ETA 2784; the dial is not bad, but definetely not gen (Yuki maybe?) The hands are completely off: same thickness for both minutes and hour hand, seconds hand too long and with lumious square too far on the edge. Case and crown seem gen to me.
-
Yes, already done.
-
Fantastic job Pete, if you only could find a glass without that hideous crown etching...
-
sorry maybe an extra 0 there yep 800, so the noob case with drilled lugs would be almost correct?
Yup. Actually the 16800/168000 case has practically the same shape of 16610 (apart from the fact that 16800 was 316 steel). The case of 1680 was 1 or 2 mm shorter in height.
-
There is no matte dial for 168000, only glossy. Maybe you're talking about 16800? However, I have a 168000 dial in a Noob case, it fits really good.
-
... is it a Rolex Seamaster, or an Omega Submariner?
-
I'd assume is a gen too. The bevel on the date window, the crispness in the writings, the shape of the crown, all make me think of a gen. But if it si not, please tell me who's selling this!

Was a vintage Explorer I ever in a 34mm case?
Yes, there was. Strange and never before (or since) situation in Rolex history: it's the only case in which the same reference was used for two models, Air King and Explorer. It was the 5500 ref., you can find it both with Explorer and with Air King dials. The Exp dial is a bit different from the 1016: I mean, the graphic and font are more or less the same, but it had no COSC, but "Precision" written on the dial. And, of course, it was smaller than 1016.

NDT, uhu? I'm beginning to collect pieces: now I have the 1066 movt coming, but I'm afraid it will not be the GMT version, but the "normal" one that went in the DJ 6605. Anybody know if is possible to modify that calibre to GMT?
INSERT DIAL DAYTONA 16520 ZENITH ON VALJOUX 7750 IS POSSIBLE?

No, the subdial position is completely different, whether is a 16520 (rolex 4030 movt) or a 116520 (rolex 4130 movt)
