I am pretty sure there is no white/black version, but just under certain lighting conditions it looks white/black......
More gen pictures:
Yeah maybe you are right. But I am not 100% sure. AP has a tendency to change color schemes like people change socks from year to year .
I think I'll try and call my local AP dealer and get it cleared up...

It states Safari in on both of those links mate.
Once the movement has settled in and this date window rubbish is organized ill take a Black Theme and eventually a safari if it comes out.
YES - but my point is that it's not creme and brown, it's black and white like the released version. It's very obvious on the high-res image on the link I posted, that it's the same color as the one for sale as a rep. I think the creme/brown safari could be a previous years version?

OR Black on White

There's even a high-res image...

From what I have seen it should be cream and dark brown, not white and black. Have a peak here: http://www.iforia.com/watches/audemarsroosafari/index.html
Cheers!
Yeah that's one version, but there's also a version in pure white and black numerals. I think you can see a picture of it on Luxury bazaar.

I wonder if the factories/dealers are not selling as many of these new AP's as they thought they would? A few went up for sale straight away as peeps realised how big the watch was. Add that to the date colour issue and it's location too far to the right. Then the Safari version is the wrong colour, plus the high price and maybe they can see they need to change things to help push sales?
Clearly it had no mass purchase frenzy that the GMT2C had.....
I would buy one myself, but only if it was a $120ish less........
Cheers
Aren't there both a version of the Safari in this color combo as well as the creme dialed one? Or aren't you referring to the dial color?
-
....and according to the same source, it will be fixed properly in the next batch from the factory...
-
According to sources, it's just a black marker pen job. Sounds kind of uncool on something that's supposed to look like a 25.000 dollar watch?
-
Definitely black with orange stripe. Makes the orange stand out as a feature rather than an eye-turd
-
Aaaaaah that watch is so MASSIVE. I really find some of the design choices intriguing. I'm definitely getting the white dial version.
It states 42mm, but it looks like a "big 42mm". What can you compare it to in size?

Yes that also
-
I get the same result from both the links.
-
Pretty big OOOPS to air it at all then :-P
-
Oh yes it is if you order the chrono
Is it out yet in proper quality?

Hello,
I wonder what would you suggest as a nice working chronograph. I saw the Oris Carlos Coste Limited Edition from oris which looks really nice but it also looks very thick ! Can you even put your arm in the air whith that kind of watch on your wrist?
So I would definetely like to have some buying suggestions from other members.
thanks
Of course the Breitling is not a Chrono :-)

If you want a large diver type watch there are several good examples such as:
Breitling Superocean Heritage
Panerai PAM 187
Graham Diver
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore
And many others :-)

Hmmmm, it seems to me to link to the exact same silver date dialed version that was started with?
-
was wondering if anyone has purchased one of the new ap roo safari's. while the dial looks too white in the pictures (it should be more of a cream color), i think we all know that you really can't tell how a watch will look in person from our dealers' pictures...
so, anyone want to post pics of their new safari?
thanks in advance,
deltatahoe
It's not supposed to be a safari. It's a ref: 25721ST.OO.1000ST.07. I went to my local AP dealer and looked at the gen. And apart from the apparent date flaws etc. it was REALLY close. I didn't do a compare there, but from memory it was hard to see much difference - both in overall look, feel and weight and in detail.

Very nice review.
I have a few issues with my clasp, but it rarely pops open, so it doesn't bother me greatly.
I have the white dial version with white rubber strap. Looks REALLY stunning!
-
Cool straps!
Does he have a website?
-
Thank you - I'll try that out!
Just a strap from Zack

Greetings guys,
I just got my Superocean Heritage, and I'm contemplating putting a 12 strap on it. But I can't see the springbars. How do I access them so I can take off the strap?
Thanks guys

I bought the carbon fiber one from Oracle. Kevlar is a rougher surface which I am not too fond of. Carbon fiber is smooth and has a nice design pattern. Kevlar is very durable (used in bullet proof vests) but is quite stiff. Just personal preference I guess, but carbon fiber is prefered for me.
I second that!

Yeah well - I like the creme/brown better also :-P...
You could argue that a zebra is somewhat safari-oriented hehe....?
