  1. Had a look at Ruby's, Andrews and Joshua's sites to see if there's a Noob/Beginmariner in two tone with blue bezel and face. They have other ETA versions but not the cheaper asian version. Anyone know if this colour/metal combo is available?
  2. Open a browser window, visit the Rolex site and bring up the pages for the YM Look at the pics on the dealers site and start comparing details, looking for obvious differences Check the hands - thickness, length, positioning of circle and size on the second hand Look at the crown (The bit you wind) does it look too angular, is it too wide, how close does it appear to the original Look at the font of the text, its size and spacing on the face. Does the logo look accurate Look at the bottom at the 'Swiss Made' is it in the right position, is it spaced correctly, does it have minute markers at either side that extend up Look at the date window - Do the numbers appear to be the correct size There are lots of other things to check for but depends on how much accuracy you're looking for. By what you've said, I think if you match the above criteria to the TTime one you'll be happy with it.
  3. Perfect Clones - http://www.pc-80108.com/rolex-yachtmaster-c-55_65.html My YM ( RLYMS10001 ) has great accuracy and is a good time keeper (+2s/day). Bought a cheaper ($140) version from Silix-Prime but was disappointed in its obvious flaws when compared to the Perfect Clones one. That said, it keeps good time (-1s/day) and is a lot cheaper. So, it depends on just how much detail you want.
  4. I bought one from Joshua a few months ago and had one of the $140 models delivered from Silix last week. The one from Silix has a lot of inaccuracies such as: Minute hand too thin Disc on second hand too small and wrong position Crown too square No verticle minute markers by the side of the Swiss Made Font and logo sizing and style Date digits looked too large - Either over magnified or wrong sized font for the magnification. The movement is the usual golden ETA and seems to keep good time (-1 second a day which is well within COSC standards) However, overall its disappointing as it seems to be of an older generation and the one from Joshua set a very high level of detail. The one I bought from Joshua seems absolutely accurate apart from the font thickness of the red Yacht Master which was very, very maginally incorrect. Check before you buy and make sure you understand what you're going to receive. Silix's service was good, slight delays on replying to email but that's normal.
  5. AFAIK its nolonger made. You could try Andrews' site as he has a 2892 advertised
  6. I nearly got taken in by the site.... Thankfully I found this and a few other true forums where I discovered the true rep scene. Cancel the order if you can.
  7. I had the same problem three weeks ago where it wouldnt work with IE or Firefox from two locations (Ie so it wasnt the connection or the browser). The only way I got a sucessful transaction was using a Nokia E61 and its inbuilt web browser... Go figure... Using the regular browsers it cr@pped out before asking for CC details, just like you've experienced.
