  1. Hey all,

I just got in my new BP and when examining the AR, I noticed a ton of scratches. At first I thought it was the residue that was left behind by the plastic crystal protector, but it's not coming off. Do you all think it is a problem with the AR? I wanted to find out what it was first.

    Thanks,

  3. One thing I noticed today...when I started, stopped, and reset the chrono, and put the crown in the winding position, I was actually able to wind it. It is still a little bit hard to wind with a bit of resistance, but I do not feel the rotor turning like it did before.

  4. Hello RWG,

I purchased a 3717 about 6 months ago and started noticing what may be an issue. When my watch has been sitting awhile unused and I have to set it all again, I noticed that I feel the movement wobbling a lot when trying to screw in the crown. I also can not manually wind this one at all because it does the same thing.

I have a watch winder and it will keep my watch charged for a few days and then it stops. I have a Steinhausen double, but none of my reps seem to stay charged. Any other recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Brent

  5. I love gator straps - have 3 from SC limited gator edition, one from SanDave, one from Pei and one from BOB...wouldn't do any harm to own one from cajun...they seem to be of great quality....would you be able to source some hornback gator hides for the straps?

Currently I have one hornback gator hide. I haven't made a single strap from it. The color is sort of a mix between light brown and grey. The back of the hide is labeled "light rust" but there's not much rust color. I will have to post a pic tomorrow evening as it's on my home pc.

  6. I have access to an alligator tannery, so I can pretty much get any color you all need. If you find something you are interested in, just send me a pic and I'll try and get a hide close to that color. These take 1-2 days to receive from the tannery, so turn around time is still pretty quick. I have plans to visit during Christmas holiday, so I will bring back more. Stay tuned. I have on the list to acquire: black and tan. Any others?

You are absolutely right mj. Excellent quality and even better turnaround time. I have 2 dark brown gators for my Pams and 1 Cognac gator for my Skyland.

Wish he had more colors for his gator hides. With tan and black gators, he'd be a very busy man.

    Cheers

  7. I just got this watch and have noticed that it keeps good time granted I keep wearing it. Once I take it off, it looses it's charge pretty quickly. My other watches at least will last over night. I do have a watch winder, but shouldn't think that I have to put it in there every night. Is there something I can check that may have come loose in shipping.

  8. Thanks for the info V. Guess I need to add a Radiomir to my collection!

    -brent

Brent in tapered straps you do 26mm to the lugs until the first hole.. then 24mm from the first hole and all the way down.. So it will need a 24mm buckle.

Saying taper it doesn't actually taper gradually from top to bottom. ;)

  9. I don't currently own a radiomir and have a few questions about the tapered straps that go on these. I am currently making a 26/24 strap and tapered it that way, however, is the buckle on this also tapered? I have a 24mm buckle, but obviously where the holes will go will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 25mm. If someone owns one of these tapered straps, can you give me the low down?

    Thanks,

    Brent
