  1. Hi, I'm thinking of buying this with the 7750 movement either with the grey/silver face or the white face. I love the look of the silver watch and I've seen some really nice pics posted on here but none of the white faced model. Can anyone help with pics, comments or reviews. Thanks. Alan
  2. Border collies. No contest. This is Moss, my third when he was 8 weeks
  3. Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, you're partly right about Pininfarina. The interior was designed by them and they handbuilt the car at their factory. The exterior was designed by Chris Bangle before he joined BMW. In fact, he designed your beautiful 7 series! It's a 1998 Fiat Coupe 20 valve turbo. 2 litres, 5 cylinders. 220bhp 0-60 in 6 secs. 150mph. 75,000 were built between 1993 and 2000 of which 7,500 came here to the UK. Never imported into U.S. And the best bit is you can pick up a really nice one here for
  4. Hi Uncle , I'm an Italian car nut. This is my pride and joy. Do you know what it is?
  5. I don't know. I always fall asleep before it fades so it must be over an hour.
  6. I'm not an expert on lume but it seems very good.
  7. That's the 2 metal lugs in the buckle that the strap holes go through.
  8. Well, it's hard to tell with the white face but it certainly seems first rate. This is one watch that you will fall in love with as soon as you take it out of the wrapping. The motorsport link was a big thing for me as I'm a petrol-head on acid! You will not regret getting this watch. Regards M
  9. I dithered for a long time before getting this last week: It is my favourite rep.
  10. Hello, I like quite large watches so for me the Steelfish is a little on the small side. The Chronomat Evo is a nicer Breitling IMHO so I'd take the IWC which I love and would also love to own.
  11. Hi, Yes the second hand is jerky but you have to look closely to notice. M
  12. Hello, Mid February this year and I discover quality reps and this forum. What a fatal combination. 3 months later and this is the result. The watches are from top left and then clockwise: Pam 243 (New Asian 7750) from Josh Gen Alfex automatic from mid 80's..still runs well but looks a bit "Micky Mouse" in this company A Lange & Sohn Flyback Lemania hand wind from Josh. My first rep. Breitling Chrono Evo (New Asian 7750) from Andrew Chopard GTXL (New Asian 7750) from Andrew Alfa Romeo fantasy watch from HK dealer which cost me
  13. Hi, Received this earlier in the week. 6 days to UK which is very good. Andrew does it again. The pictures of this watch don't do it justice. It's a real beauty "in the flesh". The rubber strap really does smell of vanilla! I hope you like the pics.
  14. Hi, Received this earlier in the week from Andrew. Very fast service (6 days to UK). Watch is a cracker. One of my tops 3 reps along with my Hublot BB and the Chopard GTXL. All from Andrew. Top chap. Hope you like the pics.
  15. Hi NRG, Yes, I put my watch on it's back at night and it gains the 7 secs. I'll try as you suggest and see if it makes any difference. Thanks M
  16. Hi, Well, I slowed it down (too much) and then gradually speeded it back up. My last adjustment was just about as small a movement as I could make. It is now running 7 seconds fast per 24 hours (all at night when I'm not wearing it). Can I realistically get it any better than this? BTW, is it the same method and direction of adjustment for the 7750 & 21J movements? Thanks in advance M
  17. Oh boy!!!! I have resisted the temptation to buy this watch until now and then you go and post all those pics.........there should be a law. As Oscar Wilde once said "I can resist everything, except temptation."
  18. The Zigmeister, Many thanks. Very helpful and informative. Regards M
  19. Hello peeps, I have a lemania copy movement in my A Lange & Sohn rep. It runs about 1 minute fast per day. I want to slow it down but don't know which of the little arms (1 or 2 on the photo)to move and which way. Help appreciated. Also, how much do I move the adjuster? many thanks M
  20. You mean you no longer have it in stock and can't obtain any more?
  21. I agree with b16a2. The quality of the HBB (my only "super rep" so far)is outstanding. It really is within a nat's whisker of the gen and I'm happy that the movement will be fine with servicing. I think we should be looking at the positive. These reps are available and we have the option wether to buy them or not. Better that way than no progress within the industry.
  22. I think any padding would do the job. I chose this because it has a very strong "stick" and it was just the right thickness.
  23. Hi, Here are the photos. The material I used was Scholl Pressure Point foam padding. I put it between the 2 prominent ridges on the reverse of the buckle to fill the gap. It works very well and can't be seen when you're wearing the watch. Ignore the red marks; I'd just taken my Pam 243 off which has a rubber strap.
  24. Neil, Can you empty your PM box please, I'm trying to send you a message!!!!! Thanks M
