Hi, I spotted this while looking through TTk's stock. I think it looks amazing and I'm seriously tempted if the movements good. I've emailed him and I'm awaiting a reply. I'd like to hear what you think. Thanks M

Hublot Big Bang strap uncomfortable (Please Help)

I've been really busy today so no photo but I'll try and get it done tomorrow. I'm in UK, BTW. -
Yes, it's definately a lovely combination. That strap works really well with the white dial. I'm currently trying to decide whether to get this watch in white with the brown leather or a blue chronomat evo with black leather. Aaargh!!

Wow. Those are beautiful shots of a beautiful watch. Inspired idea.

Challenge to our trusted Dealers re: 7750 super reps
montydog replied to mezzanine's topic in General Discussion
Hi TTK, You make some interesting points and it's useful to see things from the dealer's point of view. Ultimately, it comes down to trust. If you say to me that a full service and regulation is going to cost $100 or even $200 and I know that it's going to be done properly, I will happily pay. On a good quality rep I'm still way ahead of the game. Even If I spend $400 on the watch and $200 on a service and I'm confident that the watch will last and be accurate, I've got 98% of the watch at 10% of the price of the gen. The temptation from the dealer's point of view is to take the $200, not service the rep and hope that by the time the watch fails one of us won't be around. I would suspect that a lot of people on here would trust the good dealers to not "take the money & run". If you are in this business for the long haul, word gets around and this could be to your advantage. Regards M -
Hublot Big Bang strap uncomfortable (Please Help)

Hi, I had this problem as well. I bought a piece of self adhesive padding and stuck a small square of it between the 2 parts than stand proud and cut into the wrist. This sorted my problem. Can't be seen when the watch is being worn. I'll try and remember to post a photo tomorrow. -
Hi, I'd say Superocean as well. It's on my short, short list. Lovely, high quality piece and not too blingy. Go for it! M

No, not at all. I've had the bug for less than 3 months and I've got 3 reps already and the shortlist keeps growing................. If you have the money and buying/owning reps floats your boat, what's the harm? Better than spending it on booze and fags M

Hello all, Just received my 3rd rep - a Pam 243 (updated model)from Josh. Once again, Josh has provided first class service and endless patience when my original order disappeared and he sent me out this replacement AND allowed me to change my order. Thanks Josh. Watch is beautiful, as described, incredibly well packaged (took about 10 minutes to unwrap) and is in perfect working order. Now for some pics. I've posted pics before of my first 2 reps but TBH, they weren't great but I think I'm improving....a little. I have used a mini-tripod which has made all the difference and eliminates "shake". I used a magazine photo of a Maserati as background thinking, Italian car; Italian watch (sort of). feeling all smug until my wife pipes up "Isn't it a diver's watch?" (all the watch talk not entirely wasted then), "Shouldn't it be a nautical theme?"..................well, you decide

Awww...shucks........thanks Stephane

Hi AMK000, AR is excellent. I can read the dial clearly in full sun at all angles. Highly recommended rep BTW. Mine's keeping to within 5 secs a day, chronos work fine and the second hand has a very smooth sweep. Definately worth the money. regards Alan

Hello all, My second ever rep arrived today from Andrew. 7 days from dispatch to UK; excellent. Watch is exactly as it appears on his website, came very well wrapped and is in perfect working order. My God!, what a beautiful piece this is and worth every penny of the $420 USD (

Hi, Can anyone who has the cheaper steelfish with the asian 2813 movement and no AR give me some feedback on how their watch is performing. I'm seriously tempted to go for the cheaper one with a white face to get round the lack of AR but I'm a little worried about the 2813 movement. What's the consensus? Thanks M
-
Thanks for all the suggestions....very helpfull. I see where you are coming from with the Seiko but it's not really dressy enough and my friend wears his digital when sailing so It's really for wearing the rest of the time ie home/work. I like the Corum and had a look at a gen today at the ADs but I think it's a bit too pretty and ornate. Also, I don't want non-working chronos. So I'm leaning towards the Breitling Steelfish SuperOcean which is already waterproof and is dressy & sporty/practical at the same time. I'm going with the Asian ETA 2813. Any comments on this movement? Finally, what's the consensus on the best colour for the face, white?: or black?: Thanks
