  1. Be very careful many of the guides don't make it clear the parts listed are not for the CrPO 45.5mm The results... can be seen in my pic (having to buy another watch) You can see the I have fitted the wrong crown to one of my watches, thus completely breaking it
  2. Guys would you be happy with these results for a swiss movement ? My concern is the beat error rate
  3. Thanks guys.. Still undecided about the speedmaster lol. I really had my heart set in treating myself to the gen.. Doesn't help that am currently reading astronaut's guide to life on earth and he keeps bring up his speedmaster or as he calls it.. The Omega Astronaut watch I actually really like my Gen Tag F1 which is about the same size, it's hard as I need an extra link so I can't try one on at the AD, I need to buy it and then order the extra links. You all know it doesn't matter which watch you try on, if it's too tight you don't like it :-(
  4. Oh I agree about the price etc, the standard version is £2160 brand new in the uk. Which is decent considering the Ti PO is £5600. How do you find having to wind it every day.. Have you handled a rep ?! Is it as light in gen form ?
  5. Just wondering if anyone else has the same feelings as me ? I love the history of the speedmaster professional and it looks so very nice in pictures, I love the look of the jet black dial & thin white hands.. I really want one. However it leaves me feeling rather underwhelmed in real life. If you look at my pic you can see a rep in my watch box, next to my gen Tag and rep CrPO's now due to the issues of the rep I only picked up the cheap 21J from silix. Has anyone else felt disappointed with the Speedmaster in real life rep or gen ?
  6. Really, we are telling you it's made with titanium. You can by gen titanium watches for under £50. I have both the SS CrPO & Titanium CrPO and trust me they are both not made out of SS, as one weighs half the weight. PS the titanium has a lovely grey finish and wears great. At first it felt cheap, then after a few days it just feels modern
  7. Actually I just got my wife to try it on, she has 6.75 inch wrist and it looked.. like she could (just) about get away with it I have a 42mm CrPO too it sits just as high, you might be better considering the noob 42mm liquid metal as it's thinner
  8. It does wear very light.. Here is it on my 8.2 inch wrist
  9. Anyway guys.. Back on topic ! How's the crowns on you CrPO
  10. Just a wee update ... I actually really like this watch.. sure my rep has a white spot on the dial and the pearl sticks out 2 mm too much. But .. I would def consider this in gen, the lighter feel really grows on you and the colour of the bezel just goes so well, be it with a suit or casual wear, where as I feel the orange bezel sometimes feels a little too flash and black bezel dull .. The blue feels special and changes from deep blue to light grey. If you have been thinking about this one.. It's maybe worth while giving a go
  11. Yes it's the latest version only delivered on Friday
  12. Am actually really happy with the CrPO ti, here are a few pics of mine
  13. I do agree in general about asia vs swiss movement quality. Interesting that it maybe the stem being too long, which would cause users to apply more force trying to get the crown to catch the tube, thus damaging & stripping it. Could it also cause damage to the movement as your forcing the stem deeper into the movement ?
  14. Hi Guys Am trying to discover if the Swiss ETA watches have better crowns than the Asia ETA movements. Below are my three POcr two 45.5mm and one 42MM as you can see two suffer from bad crowns (both Asia) the other has a great crown (swiss). Here is the issue.. The Swiss version is the PO ti (blue) where as the Asia's are both normal steel watches. So is it the Ti in General have better crowns or is it the movements.. I think it's the movements but others owners please post your crown photos and let us know if it's swiss or Asia This will be really useful for us all as starting to hear about crown tubes stripping (my Asia one stripped after 5 days)
  15. The swiss crown fully screwed down vs Asia fully screwed down
  16. Update. It appears my new Swiss ETA POcr crown is very good, it screws down really well and even changing the date & time is smoother on the swiss version (it's clearly a old movement as I can see marks on the gears etc)
  17. It's a mixed bag mate. The watch its self is very nice apart from the fact the crown tube stripped after only a few days (was common with a V5 PO) however it appears to also effect the Cr version as both my 45 & 42mm versions have poor crown tubes. Not am not sure if it only effects watches with the Asia movement !i have a new Blue bezel 45mm Ti Cr Swiss version on its way. I'll update this week once I'll had hands on.. As I said before I prefer Asia movements but the Ti Version was only available with the so called swiss movement As for the bezel on the orange version it is steel even on the cr version. The black version has a nice matt finish and mine is NOT fading
  18. Vangoosh after plenty of research it appears that the Asia version is generally the best bet. It appears that most time when you pay for swiss, you either get an old (upto 30years) swiss eta, a plain asia eta or a mix match of swiss and asia parts. At least I know what I got and what I paid for ! A brand new asia copy, which at present is only -1 sec per day
  19. Looks good, what you think of the area around the date ?
  20. Well don't worry folks I ended up going for option 2, with Joshua from PC
  21. Hi I actually have the gen version of this watch in my hand ATM I Just had a good look at the trusty version for you and I can't see any real issues, Apart from the lume on the markers is a little untidy, but in fairness I have had this watch for over a year and that was the very first time I ever looked at the lume. Don't forget these photos are many times bigger the actual size. Plus I don't believe this model (gen) has an AR, well mine doesn't and it's Gen... It's also been back to tag for 3 repairs in a year, so in all likely hood the rep will be more reliable lol The other issue with this watch is the red hand is a stop watch, so if you swap watches like me, you can hit the stopwatch function and forget and just think it's a second hand.. The result is a flat battery in 14 weeks and a £45 + vat for a replacement and water proofing :-( sounds silly but it such a simple mistake to make ! Jonny
  22. Hi Guys If you where in the market for a new 45mm with Orange Bezel. Which version would you go for ? 1. Planet Ocean Ceramic Swiss ETA 2. Planet Ocean Ceramic Asia ETA 3. Planet Ocean 45mm Orange Bez Eta 2824-2 Ultimate Ver 4. Another version I have missed I plan to buy from trusty, and I don't plan to do any work on it.
